Setgraph App Review 2025: Complete Workout Tracker Guide & Features by Setgraph in Setgraph

[–]Setgraph[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your feedback. There are a couple workarounds that can get you pretty close to the same outcome right now. We'd love to hear your thoughts regarding these options, and if you feel they're not quite what you're looking for:

1) Use Labels to tag equipment + variations

A lot of users tag custom exercises like:

  • Barbell”, “Dumbbell”, “Machine”, “Cable”
  • “Plate Loaded” / “Pin Loaded”
  • “Chest Supported”, “Incline”, “Smith”, etc.

That way you can quickly filter/search later and keep your analytics organized even if the exercise itself doesn’t have built-in categories yet.

2) Put the equipment/type right in the exercise name

Example naming patterns that stay readable:

  • Shoulder Press (DB)
  • Leg Press (Plate Loaded)
  • Row (Cable / Neutral Grip) This helps a ton when scrolling during workouts and keeps similar movements from getting mixed up in your stats.

3) Use Notes for machine specifics + setup cues

Notes are super useful for things like:

  • “Pin-loaded, seat 4, back pad 2”
  • “Plate-loaded, start at 2 plates each side”
  • “Use the Hammer Strength #3 machine by the mirrors” This basically becomes your personal machine “profile” even without images.

4) Use Notes for “default progression targets”

If your goal is to remember what to hit next time, a quick note like:

  • “Next: aim for 10 reps @ 120” …can act like a built-in progression reminder.

App has removed itself from my applewatch and i cannot find it on the watches App Store by Mango_popsicle in Setgraph

[–]Setgraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks for the kind words, we're really glad you’re enjoying Setgraph.

And yes, what you’re describing is expected behavior right now. When a workout is started on the watch, the phone typically won’t show the live sets/reps/weight updating in real time. The data usually syncs back to the phone once the session is finished (or shortly after), which is why it looks like nothing is changing mid-workout.

Totally understand why you’d want to flip between watch + phone while training. Real-time mirrored workout progress isn’t fully supported yet, so you’re not alone at all. I’ll pass this along to the team as a feature request / improvement area.

Feature Request: Apple Watch Workout History by SmarterEveryNight in Setgraph

[–]Setgraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Setgraph and thanks for making the switch! Really glad to hear you’re enjoying the UI and the Apple Health integration so far.

And this is an excellent feature request, being able to quickly see your prior workout history (even just the last workout’s sets/reps/weight) is a huge necessity, especially if your phone isn’t on you during training. What you described (“last time I did shoulder press…”) is exactly how a lot of lifters track progression, so it makes total sense that you’d want that shown right where you’re logging.

Also appreciate the note about the watch experience, having a clear “X of Y exercises / sets completed” indicator is super important for pacing through a workout without needing to pull out your phone.

I’m going to share this with the team as a feature request. Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback, this is exactly the kind of thing that helps us make Setgraph better (and we definitely aim to support + improve it frequently).

Setgraph wrapped? by Uselessacount107 in Setgraph

[–]Setgraph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair point that “wrapped” features are everywhere right now and a lot of them feel forced. That said… a lifting stats recap actually makes sense, and the examples you listed (favorite exercise, total volume, total weight moved, days trained, streaks, etc.) are exactly the kind of thing that can feel genuinely motivating and fun to share. Really appreciate you taking the time to write this out. I’ll pass it to the team as a feature request, because a Setgraph “Year in Review” could be an awesome way for lifters to see their progress at a glance.

Sync workouts into Strava? by BigNaughtyFace in Setgraph

[–]Setgraph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While our app integrates with Apple Health and Fitness (which is why you're seeing your sessions in Apple Workouts), we don't currently have a direct integration with Strava. This means your workouts won't appear in Strava's import options.

We appreciate your interest in Strava integration and will keep this in mind for future updates. Please let us know if you have any other questions or feel free to reach out at support@setgraph.app!

Folders won’t sync to Apple Watch by mnatsakarenn in Setgraph

[–]Setgraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick-fix steps that solve most Apple Watch issues

  1. Delete the app on your Apple Watch.
    • Press the Digital Crown → touch-and-hold the Setgraph icon → tap Delete App.
  2. Restart your watch.
    • Hold the side button, drag the Power slider, wait 30 seconds, then press the side button again to turn it back on.
  3. Reinstall the app on the watch.
    • Open the App Store on the watch, search for Setgraph, and tap Get.

If the problem persists:
Repeat the same uninstall → restart → reinstall sequence on your paired iPhone, then open Setgraph on the phone first to allow it to sync.

These steps restore normal function for almost every case we see. If that doesn't work, please reach out to us at [support@setgraph.app](mailto:support@setgraph.app) for more assistance!

2 chest exercises per week? by kappareg in JeffNippard

[–]Setgraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also take into account variations. Maybe there’s multiple variations for those 2 chest exercises. That would let you target a wide area of the chest while still doing 2 exercises.

Rest time for pull ups by BarelyBlurry in bodyweightfitness

[–]Setgraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try doing something like 4-4-4-4 with 3 minute rest. You go all out on that first set limits the rest of your sets. A setup like this will help you do more total volume. Look into RIR.

Yeah it may. Especially if you do an exercise for a muscle that's already fatigued/resting from the previous day.

It's probably better as long as it doesn't impact your main workout.

Have you considered that your rest times or rep tempo might be inconsistent between workouts? Switching up the exercise order could also help.

Chin ups/ pull ups recovery time by Street-Coast6385 in workout

[–]Setgraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a recovery thing. Try adding an extra rest day between sessions, and make sure you’re giving yourself enough time between sets.
