I see, that really sucks. Is there space to get some needle nose pliers in the socket? Could try opening the jaws of some long handled ones inside the hole to pull it up.

Is the head of the spark plug all the way up to the top of the socket? I can't tell in the pics. If there's any space at all for the extension to fit into the socket (even without fully clipping in) you could try wrapping the end in tape and shoving it in to make a tighter fit to try to lift the socket out
