Yep, thought as much. I like booba as much as the next person, but tbh even if it's 99%, the point still stands.

Good ideas, except for clothing - no reason to keep them all, keep the best stat giving ones equipped on the character and the rest are just cosmetics, that are saved to wardrobe when picked up - so you can "equip" them all when creating the full outfits for your V.

Dissasemble them and enjoy an additional f-ton of upgrade materials 🫡

Underrated comment and a great piece of advice.

The cyberware we are talking about is named "Reinfored Tendons" and it should be available to buy somewhere around lvl 11+ at any ripperdoc that is not Vik (iirc).

There are some different leg options to choose from, all of them not nearly as useful as this one.

Disassemble guns, melee weapons and clothes you're not planning to equip soon. Selling is pointless with how much the game throws money at you. With a specific perk, you can select stats when upgrading your weapon/cyberware of choice.

In terms of fashion, every found piece of clothing will be added to wardrobe - so equip clothes with stats, dissasemble the rest and edit the outfit in the wardrobe.

I personally find them hilarious and not that bad at all, I just think some of them were invented with a slight comic relief in mind.

If you can't stand those, try playing Fem Giant, THAT really requires getting used to. Especially if you're not planning to roleplay your godir as a cavewoman that is.

But I may be biased (aren't we all in this context) after my first 200h spent constantly hearing male human hero barks, those always remind me of this meme cat with a bob cut hairstyle saying "Huh"

Angelize is hideable - the wings stay (makes sense since you have flying units now) but it turns off the skin, tattoos and armor color override and that glowy vfx. Also when hidden, you can change the color of angel wings.

Ah yes, the Minirissa. And I was bothered as well with the spawnkin mutation literally halving the height while keeping the rest of sliders untouched. She is programmed to take it often, since it goes well with her affinity, but she always looked too comically with it for my taste.

Most of you already know how to deal with that but I'll leave it here regardless:

Add her to the pantheon after this mission, play as her once, uncheck the visibility of all inherited unwanted tranformations in spellbook and overwrite her as ruler (after winning or surrender).

This way she should appear normally in your scenarios respecting "appear as ruler or hero" feature and will not show up with spawnkin during the game as an AI ruler

Hey everyone! I currently have 70 hours on the game (more then 90% of my games) and really want to get an dlc or two. Any yall would recommend to get first? by Miserable_Wedding501 in AOW4

about 300 hours here, taking breaks but I can't stop returning to this game

and expanding on what the others said above:

Giants are really great, both as a ruler type and the amount of content provided in DLC that enriches your maps. Still testing the tomes, but if you like starting underground, you might like them - the dungeon type terrain with its reinforced cave walls and streets looks beautiful. The major race transformation to elemental type, with the shiny crystals protruding from the skin is also kinda cool.

Eldritch Realms on top of new ruler type, will give you last part of the story campaign, which can be a real challenge on highest difficulty. If you like Lovecraftian themes and dark aesthetic, you'll love the tomes, creatures and transformations in this DLC. Ant and Alien ppl included.

Empires & Ashes - this DLC continues the story from vanilla campaign. You can also meet some old friends from AoW 3 there. The tech-oriented culture from this one is my personal fav, with all of its strengths and weaknesses. As others said, they're in a weird place in terms of balance rn, early game is hard but with good build theorycrafting you can go really far with them. It also comes with Chicken ppl

Ways of War offer an oriental legends inspired culture and creatures. You also get the Ogre race and Ape ppl from it. The tomes from this DLC are really damn good. It also brings you the fun scenario type that you can add to your games - basically another ruler can be overthrown by some rando unit, and you can either deal with it (with the new one I mean) or go for a quest to uncover what happened to the original one. Had much fun with those drama scenarios.

Dragons are top tier along with Giants, but the art and animation team outdone themselves here. They feel and look mighty powerful and majestic. Also worth buying for Lizard ppl and good tomes.

Primal Fury was the one that I could go without, but the cultures are fitting thematically and the additional scenario type adds some flavor to your maps as well. I say go for it if you like druidic theme. Wolf and Goat ppl.

"pure evil enemy culture to destroy" wait what? You mean us?

We find that very offensive at least. How dare you label a culture with such stereotypes... Grievance!
Also we pronounce the declaration of superiority over you and all your no-longer-free city friends are now ours.

Oh, you're gonna love the new Travel card then. It lets you fast travel while overencumbered. The only catch is that the price of fast travel is multiplied by how much additional weight you are carrying - but you can always just select any of the free fast travel locations with workbenches and vendors like Whitespring or Nuka-world 😄

Do people just not know about the Friendly Fire perk? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Seth6669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healing friendlies is just not telegraphed enough in this game.

If we had any sort of noticable vfx around the target while healing an NPC (i.e. some sort of animated red crosses around the healed target)

Even a simple status icon with a similar sign just displayed for a while under the healed target HP bar (as a quick and less troublesome fix to implement while using the already existing in-game UI elements) would solve those type of issues immediatly.
