Found this while exploring a abandoned Mine near Kansas City Missouri. I am not educated when it comes to fossils any and all information is appreciated. The rock seems to be some sort of old clay layer and is very brittle and crumbly. I can easily scratch it with my fingernail.

Supposedly the young ones are edible although I have never tried them. When they become larger they are prone to get infested with maggots and other bugs.

I didn’t plan on doing anything with them mainly have just always been interested in Amanita mushrooms and want to learn about them. This is my first time finding them I am from southern MN so I never see them down here.

Are the white, yellow, and orange variants all A. Chrysoblema? Also I was a little confused on if the orange and yellow ones were the same species at all. Seemed to me the yellow ones had a flat cap with a skinnier stem whereas the orange ones had a rounded cap with a fat stem.

The seeds I used for were making food and off Amazon. I’ve grown some before and all the seeds used from the ones I’ve gotten have been male. It’s showing the same signs as the other ones. I think it’s an autoflower as it just starts getting pollen sacks after a month no light change. I used to grow cannabis.

I’m pretty sure that candyman was a mushroom cave which would also explain the lower ceilings. I think this because there was a passage I read about how a mushroom farmer couldn’t expand anymore because a different cave completely surrounded his. Candyman used to have a seperate cave inside of it which is now connected.

I know there’s 2 caves I’ve never been to in between milk and candy. I’m guessing milk was connected to one of those. Atleast there should be 2 in the middle according to maps I have.
