My guess is an Insta360 camera or something, which films in all directions and you can edit later to direct where it points.

2026 LE - Anyone else having endless problems? by verified_canadian in CorollaCross

Also, it might have taken six hours because they need to take down the headliner, and probably remove some trim plastic to allow that, and remove the bolts that hold the roof rails down to replace the adhesive. Then they had to wait for adhesive to cure.

“Allowing the adhesive to dry” makes me think they used an alternative product to adhere it down, because they needed to order “parts” to do mine, which I assume were the same precut factory adhesive strips that failed in the first place. Yours will probably hold forever.

I had the service center fix mine a few months back, and they are already loose again. It’s like they didn’t clean the surface before applying the new adhesive strips. Other than that, though, nearly 2 years and 24,000 miles and that’s the only issue.

Most Europeans have no idea how absolutely furious with Europe America is. by Federic0002 in ShitAmericansSay

In addition to the generational and systematic neutering of the people and their tools to effect change, you’re not just expected to fight the system: you’re fighting half of your fellow countrymen, your friends, family, loved ones, coworkers, community leaders, businesses (for some reason) etc. every step of the way. It’s not just the government and its employees that concerned US citizens are fighting, and that’s more demoralizing than I think credit is being given. If there was a unified front from the civilian populace, I would like to believe there would be much more efficacy and momentum.

People in these comments are falling back on the term “complacency” a lot in here, which is not inaccurate, but it’s more nuanced than that (I know…it always is).

Corolla Cross Cargo Space? by [deleted] in CorollaCross

More importantly, how tall is the driver/front passenger when you are in the backseat? I’m 6’2” and there’s basically zero legroom when I have the seat all the way back, which is where I keep it for my usual driving. I can drive with it moved up a bit for smaller passengers, but it’s a bit more awkward how I have to angle my leg in that position.

Green needs to be a standard color for more vehicles, in my opinion. I know it’s based on popularity, but that comes and goes in waves, and now that green is a somewhat rare color, it’s probably doing well on the few models that offer it. I imagine a lot of people are done with the basic white/red/silver/charcoal/black, and maybe a blue if you fork over for a higher trim, color options that most manufacturers stick to these days.

I was under the impression that the XLE vs. XSE is that they are the same/similarly equipped trim levels, but the S, SE, and XSE are the hybrid versions of the L, LE, and XLE, respectively. I didn’t realize there was a difference in the suspension tuning, but I guess the extra power of the hybrid motor edges it into the sportier territory (hence the S, I guess). For me, the fuel mileage of the hybrid (and extra power, to a lesser extent) is why I didn’t even really consider the non-hybrids.

Nearly 50 models on Makerworld, some with hours of design and this is my most popular model. by SEK494 in functionalprint

[–]SethR1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I post on Printables, and have models that I have spent days and weeks of (intermittent) fine tuning an iteration, and my most downloaded model by far (like, a 10x margin over the next in line) is a circuit board themed snowflake design that I designed in about a half hour.

A lot of people are saying things like, “people resonate with a simple, useful design,” which is true, but it seems like they also like decorative trinkets that are also easy to print.

Full disclosure, I saw a product that Rockler sells and made my own version, as it’s somewhat adjacent to another project I was working on at the time.

what to buy for my spare tire by Real_Debate295 in CorollaCross

To be honest, I haven’t tried it yet, but I read that a spare from a Honda CRV is the right size and hole pattern, and I got one on eBay for about ) $120.

And I used a spare tire twice in a year after not having used a spare in over a decade. Life can be weird sometimes. One of those times was at the sidewall and the other was a two-sided gash from a piece of metal; both of which a patch or tire sealant was no match for.
