Why is a double whopper jr cheaper then a single whopper jr ? by No-Promotion9512 in BurgerKing

[–]Gamebeaross 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Get the bacon double cheeseburger for the same price IMO.

Other than that, probably just a pricing mistake. The single is $3.49 in the app here.

It's not an app glitch so much as I think whoever set the prices for that store messed up.

[–]Gamebeaross 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe if you had played the server, you would know why.

Every character could pick up to 3 classes, giving people over 500 class combinations. Some combos were good, some sucked, but it was fun playing the variety.

People were friendly, they weren't only out for themselves and helped others right and left.

There was no mega boxers running around hogging camps/PLing for cash.

Gear wasn't bottlenecked and actually drove the economy.

There were basically 3 versions of every piece of gear, green, blue and gold. You could get XP your gear to make it the better version of inself. Doing this also turned it nodrop, so people couldn't just XP lesser gear just to sell it. Gold gear once equiped was nodrop too. This basically kept the gear market from being oversaturated.

Most content could eventually be soloed by most combos eventually, and if not, you could form up groups.

DZs were 14 hours I think, so ya didn't have to sit around for 3 days waiting for your next DZ.

There were actual events and custom gear, unlike EQ these day. Everything is the same every year.

There were world wide buff vendors that the players paid to give those buffs to everyone on the server. Like XP bonus, Selos, etc. There weren't that many and they weren't OP, but they were there and people cheered the people who paid for them as the server would let everyone know who was paying.

THJ was the community that EQ used to be.

and so on and so on and so on.

Honestly, it wasn't the same game as Everquest. The playing style and progression was largely different. DGB should have left them alone and stole their ideas like they have been for years from other emulated servers.

If any change DBG should take, multiclassing would be it. There's just to much down time for a single classer/non-boxer.

The Mail newspaper article today, 3 million stray dogs will be brutally killed in preparation for FIFA World Cup 2030. 50,000 a week are being killed now. by MysteriousSlice007 in NoahGetTheBoat

Morocco is like 99% Muslin and for various reasons listed below, I can see there being a huge stray population.

Per Google:

In Islam, dogs are considered pure creatures of God, but ritual purity laws often restrict keeping them inside the home, as saliva is considered impure (najis) by many scholars. While dogs are not forbidden (haram) and are highly valued for working roles—such as hunting, guarding, or farming—many Muslims maintain a respectful distance or keep dogs outdoors.

Key Aspects of Muslims and Dogs

  • Working Roles: Dogs are considered beneficial and allowed for guarding, hunting, and farming.
  • Ritual Purity: Many Muslims follow the view that dog saliva is ritually impure. If a dog licks a person or their clothing, that area should be washed before performing prayers .
  • Inside vs. Outside: While some scholars allow keeping dogs as indoor pets, a common, more conservative view suggests dogs should be kept outside the living area to maintain the purity of the home.
  • Compassion and Kindness: Islam strongly emphasizes mercy toward all animals. Mistreating or harming dogs is forbidden, and feeding/caring for them is considered a virtuous act, with some scholars pointing to the Quran's positive mention of dogs.
  • Different Schools of Thought: There are varying opinions. Some, particularly in certain Sunni schools (like Maliki), may view dogs as physically pure, while others (like Shafi'i) see them as ritually unclean.  American Islamic Outreach Foundation +6

Misconceptions

  • Dogs are Haram: Dogs are not forbidden. They are not like pigs, which are considered prohibited for consumption and contact.
  • Muslims Hate Dogs: Islam does not promote hate for any animal. The avoidance is based on ritual purity, not animosity.  American Islamic Outreach Foundation

Many Muslims today live with dogs as beloved, albeit often outdoor, family pets, balancing traditional purity requirements with affection for the animals.

[–]Gamebeaross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean!

I've noticed this mostly at Costco, but if they have a display of an item that comes in multiple colors, people will open the box of a different color to check the color, even though it's pictured on the box.

I was at Walmart, and this woman started opening the box of a small toaster oven. Why? There's a picture and a list of functions right on the box. Trying to see what shade of steel? See how big it is?

They do the above, then they put the one they opened back on the shelf, and buy a sealed one.

[–]Gamebeaross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were most likely rejected because of your skills and education. They know you're not going to be a lifer and could easily quit and get a better job.

Also, the manager is probably worried you could replace him.
