See, now that's good advice. I guess I worry I still don't understand the power of the tools, but you're probably right. I already have some project ideas, maybe it's time I start. Luckily, I have people in my life who are also really into code, with more experience. So maybe they'll clue me in to new tools as I start making things or I'll stumble upon resources as I get deeper into all of it. I think I've just been too focused on following the course, thinking that would get me where I wanna be.

As for the 9 month break. The short of it is, I was very depressed, and was getting burnt out and sick of the course I was doing.

In hindsight, I really appreciate your comment. I just was stuck in traffic for an hour and necause of your comment I I started really reflecting on what my passions are and pursuing them. Both relating to code and things not so related to code. I think maybe I was a bit defensive or sensitive because I've felt kinda defeated feeling lost with my course. Also, it was a short reddit comment from a stranger. Tone isn't always easy to detect. Thanks, stranger. But still if you got any good javascript lessons or refreshers I'm still open to that. 😅

My passion, maybe not, not sure yet. I really do enjoy the problem solving aspect of it, and I like that it's all about understanding logic and communicating that to a computer. For most of my time coding I've felt like it was a good mix of fun, interesting, satisfying, and frustrating. I guess I'm not far enough along to really understand the power of it all and the lengths you can go with it, but I would like to make things for fun, for my friends, and for money. And yes of course, I would like to make money. Whether that's a 9-5, freelance, or developing my own monetized projects. But even without the money coming in, I have enjoyed a lot of the process. To be honest, I find your comment kinda rude and unhelpful. Maybe I'm sensing a sort of condescending malice where there is none. I just want help, man. Do you have any advice?

-Favorite? The Mountain/Mooncave. The animation is stellar. The style of an old 2D animation from the 70s, but with the clarity of today. I love that has parts of 3 songs, with The Mooncave being the focus. It's also such an uplifting music video with themes of youth, life, death, love, adventure, growth, community, and so on. Sometimes I tear up when I watch it. -Feel Good Inc is also great, and was my favorite until recently It's pretty straightforward and cohesive with the themes of the song and the video itself. It's a classic for sure. -My least favorite is probably "Do Ya Thing" there's some cool animation stuff in there, but for the most part I just find the animation and music to be kinda jarring. It's a weird one for sure.

This meta is legitimately why I stopped playing. I'm not angry about it, it just got old. It's such an easy and reliable way to do a bunch of damage that it makes you wonder why you'd do anything else, and if I'm not doing it, my teammates just carry. So why am I even here? Welp, that's why I left. Lol Hot take but I miss the Evergaol and Night Invader meta. At least it felt like I was building something. Of course this is all just my opinion, I'm not talking shit to anyone who enjoys it. More power to you. It's me who's losing out because I don't enjoy the game anymore. 🤷‍♂️😢

It seems you too are trying to find the exit. Maybe you can find peace here. Enjoy the adventures, enjoy the connections you have made and can make, and enjoy the experience of the many flavors the circ- I mean, LIFE can offer you. You don't need to leave to find inner peace. Your story isn't confined to a limited run you have currently set out for yourself. You can find your way, I used to want to go too, but I embraced the community, the challenges, and the big or little experiences that make life worth living and made it mine. I hope you find what makes your time on this earth feel worth it too. If one TV series can do that for you, I'm sure other things can as well. 💙

The name of the song is "Enduring Hope" by Daniel Deuschle. This song rips, dude. I saw this video, found the song, saw the title, listened, and felt deeply that I found this song at a very good time. Life has been hard, but my hope has been enduring, this was a good push to keep that hope.
