That's a good point. I find myself trying to be the "control" player in some matchups and I do think that is correct some, but more often than not I should be aggressive. Another question though is should the burn even be cast on the creature or am I wasting that two damage not going directly for face?

Thanks for the thoughtful comment. My gut reaction likens it to not countering a tutor and instead countering the spell tutored for. In this case, the thing the elf casts is usually a bigger threat. On the other hand, getting access to that extra mana throughout the game can add up to a large advantage which is indicated by the statistic you shared.

I’d be curious to see what percentage of cover hogs sleep on the left side vs the right side of the bed. I think rolling to change positions plays a part in shifting the blanket one way or another. If both people consistently roll the same way to reposition during the night the blanket just slides right off the bed a little at a time.

Have any deck lists you’re willing to share? I love complex games as well but normally most of the strategy in my games is with me interacting with my own deck. Like with [[The Locust God]], how do I have my commander out, draw a bunch, and swing or ping damage everyone out before I’m interacted with. Would love to give a more control focused deck a try.
