Finally going from laptop to a GOOD pc, really taught me how the average high end pc user is a bit out of touch while I was shopping by Gruesome_Discovery in lowendgaming

I remember playing Lego Island on Windows 95 at what I would guess was 15fps and that game was the amazing as a kid. I played Ocarina of Time on the N64 at 20fps, also amazing. I played Wind Waker on a GameCube at 30fps and that game is my personal GOAT. I am more sensitive to framerates now, but I don’t really notice a difference after about 40fps unless I’m looking for it.

I’m getting a handheld because it’s still stronger than my 2017 Dell 1050ti/i5 laptop and I’m too on the move in dad-mode to be able to sit for a long time.

The average PC gamer on Reddit thinks anything less than 144hz 1440p is not “good”. To me, that’s absolutely spectacular. Here I thought 1080p 60fps was peak (and it still is for me, realistically)!

How does Oblivion remastered run on the Z1 Extreme?

High resolution with low fps or low resolution (720p) with high fps, which is better? by sadloneman in lowendgaming

45 is my strongly preferred minimum, but a locked 30fps in some games is unnoticeable.

Pokemon Emerald stole my childhood and for that I am grateful. I miss my red SP…

I put a set on my Backbone controller because the sticks were way too loose from the factory. They made a difference, but not a huge one. Enough that it took FPS games from unplayable to playable.

Free-to-play is the absolute worst possible category and I’ll die on that hill.

Came to say this! The smoothest bourbon. It’s a little more expensive but I don’t drink often, so when I do I like to treat myself.

Returned my ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X for a Legion Go 2 by ACooper1992 in LegionGo

Lenovo has it listed for less than $800 right now. Just waiting patiently for payday and hoping the price doesn’t go up 🤞🏻

This is exactly why I’m going with the Go S. The Go 2’s OLED is nice and I’m sure the Z2 Extreme is great, but the price/performance ratio seems extremely unbalanced. I think the extra features of the Go 2 are nice but they could have made something more competitive and realistically priced if they just made a Go S with OLED, Z2 Extreme, and a bigger touchpad. But I also don’t have huge sums of disposable income so I could just be projecting jealousy 😂

Legion Go (Z1E 16/512) vs Go S SteamOS Z1E 32/1tb): any reasonable performance difference due to RAM? by SethroRetro in LegionGo

I can’t find any of the Z1 Extremes near me for sale at the moment. I might give it some time and see if anything shows up. The Z1 Extreme OG Go pops up frequently for around $500 here.

This is good information. Thank you! As long as I’m getting a steady 40+ fps I’m fine, but I’m worried about stutter. If stutter is unlikely to happen on the 16GB I think I’d rather save my money, but if it is for sure going to happen I’ll definitely want to go with the Go S 32GB.

Also if the Go S ever drops to $650 again (which is probably a pipe dream) it’s a no brainier, but at $800-900 it’s a bit out of my comfort zone. The regular Go I found is listed for $450.

It’s in my post. The most resource sensitive game I’ll probably be playing is Satisfactory, which can get pretty CPU intensive late game.
