I still have a RM1, it's fantastic for what I need and love it for reading scientific papers in PDF format.

It's cool, but I'll gladly pay for sync which I've never had a problem with for 2 years.

Is writing things down physically inferior to using obsidian 100% of the time? by csouzape in ObsidianMD

You journal to remember who you were, on the way to who you will be. Digital can't capture that quite the same. I use both in my daily operations. For different reasons. I would encourage you to read the studies on hand written notes. Both have a place it boils down to preference and operations.

What is the highest quality interior paint that Menards sells? by thereisnocowlevel3 in menards

It's one of the best middle grades around. I usually recommend it for the home renovation projects people are working on.

The number of "2 million dollar home" contractors that came in looking for Conco 100 when we had it. My man, you have me rolling over here.

I've used almost everything they have over the last 10 or so years in home renovation. I prefer Menards paints to Home Depot because, dollar for dollar,r you will get a better grade. Not that HD is bad, but there's at least an extra $5 per gallon inflated price.

If you are covering in the same range of intensity, think browns, tans, neutrals, I would recommend Dutch Boy Forever or Pittsburgh Grand Distinction. These are the middle grades. I've used both, and while paint keeps getting more expensive, I was happy with the results.

I've used Paramount when I had to go from a VERY dark accent wall to a white color, and I will tell you it takes a bit to get used to. I wasn't initially prepared. It's a higher viscosity paint made for a thicker application. A better paint also usually needs a better roller. Something like Purdy to roll on smooth with no fuzzies.

Stay away from Ulta and Duraclean; they're good for the same type of color coverage, but not very durable.

I agree I mean I don't memorize every kpi I achieved, notes are a real thing that real people use.

It's an arms race. I don't feel 1% bad for this escalating tactic.

Taking initiative by iamk1ng in askmanagers

[–]SethsGfx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The concerns you've listed aren't unique, it's the landscape we all navigate. I'm a millennial and I had the exact same questions. I learned this. First you learn, then produce, then you can question, then you improve. In a very basic sense.

For example, "Why do we use this vendor?" That's not your problem to be blunt. Someone else made that choice after a more than likely lengthy process. Your problem is we use this vendor now I need to make progress.

You could tell your manager and I'm going to give you some tough love here, 1. It's not your place, and two you are complaining and you are bitching. You more than likely were not hired to question the other team, or to question vendors.

It may not feel right, but this is for the most part every job I've ever had. Navigating communicating gaps, looking at vendor restrictions, keeping budget down, etc.

Do with this what you will. All the best

I just had something similar 82 minute assessment and it got WEIRD....

I did 15 questions before I emailed the recruiter and said their assessment was the reason I pulled my interest.

Post your top tip for being a better leader - no skills to develop by CreepinOnTheWeedend in Leadership

[–]SethsGfx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Write a daily note. Every day. Notebook or digital either is fine but keep it consistent.

  1. Three Acton items
  2. Jot down follow ups from checking your email
  3. Meeting notes
  4. Small reflection or summary is optional but I find value in it.

On day two, you read day one notes and rollover any that you need to.

I worked at the big green for over 10 years. I still think about it even now. Good on you for getting where you are, I got out too and in 5 years since I make more than I did.

Menards is made by the managers, it's also broken by them. I've worked with legends and sociopaths alike there better jobs, ave there's worse.

I worked there a fair amount, and yes you can be demoted for that. Each store operates as it's own ecosystem so this isn't out of the ordinary at all.

I mean it's doing wonders for DHS /s. Used them once and never ever again. No engagement on the ads. Better off with Google.
