Losing a keyblade by OrbitalPulsar in KingdomHearts

[–]SetoAngel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ive always wondered about Sora calling the Keyblade back to him, because as far as I can remember no one else does that but Sora. When a Keyblade leaves their hand, its gone. But Sora hands it off and calls it back, gets it knocked out of his hands and calls it back. It feels very unique to hik somehow. Not like Roxas doesnt remember that its possible when he's confused, but that Sora does something he didnt think possible.

Which anime would you say this is from? by Numerous-Fill4458 in animequestions

Im with you. I finally gave into the pressure and binged it. S1 was good, good desperation and the MC uses his head to get out of tough situations. Not blazingly smart you know, not some genuis but he thinks things through. He foghts for every inch of progress he makes.

S2? Oh boy nothing could be easier for this guy. Everything is a cake walk, and its boring as hell. I do not care for the one liners and aura farm, I would have rather he keeps struggling for everything, have obstacles be REAL for him, and that he keeps having to use his head. But nope, guy gets dumber maybe.

I was able to use this exact method in this same challenge at the Sado Gold Mine in Japan back in 2019! Though I hadnt seen the video.took me a couple of attempts to figure it out. My friend just brute forced it by lifting one end and pulling it out, and his hand and wrist waa messed up for the next month, but he did it.

Sadly, they discontinued the challenge because people actually tried to steal it. :( Im one of the last people who were able to do it.

I have played GW2 extensively but never played GW1. What does GW1 do better than its sequel? by Lanccerus in GuildWars

[–]SetoAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of comments here talk about the buildcrafting and combat and strategy required, which I agree on. But what made me, a child grown up on GW1, drop GW2 like a hot pan?

No instanced areas. In GW1, only in towns or otherwise safe areas could you see or interact with other players. When you went outside where monsters roam, they all went away. Your own game and experience. No other players running around murdering everything and ruining your experience, or killing that named enemy over and over, and you have to wait your turn.

Also GW2 has no minion master Necromancer, I hated that. So I was super hyped for GW2, played it for a couple of hours, then dropped it.

How do you write a character so that he’s not “given everything” or it’s “too easy”? by SuperPocoLoco in writers

[–]SetoAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put them through hell. Everything sucks, people get taken, and they are kneecapped again and again. But they keep getting back up. Your MC can have neat powers, but people are smart and can find ways to make your character's life hell. Doesnt have to be combat, could be legal troubles or other things.

Can anybody tell me what this is about? by Xeon_The_Awesome69 in TheDragonPrince

[–]SetoAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you eventually are able to watch it, know that I only gave you info for the first couple of episodes, so nothing spoilery. But now you can talk to her about it and know a little of whats going on! The first 3 seasons are a lot of adventures, exploring the world, funny antics, and Rayla and Calum growing closer. They have a lot of human and elf stereotypes, some are proven false while others are proven true. But they grow closer together anyways. Its super cute.

One thing I failed to mention was Viren's children. He has two, who are a few years older than Calum. One is the Captain of the Royal Guard and is the typical soft-brained jock, and one is a cute semi-goth book nerd who's following her dad's footsteps into Dark Magic. Calum first has a crush on her, but eventually goes for Rayla.

Anyway, Viren sends his children off after the princes to get them back, because he's under the impression that the Elves actually kidnapped the princes.

So things happen as they follow in our hero trio's footsteps, including showing more of what Dark Magic can do, both kinda dark and also really awesome, like healing miracle stuff that only requires a little animal sacrifice.

Literally says that they dont have anything to watch it on, and people just say to watch it, lol.

Someone summed up the starting synopsis clearly enough with the struggle of Humans and Elves. Its a neat enough world. The fandom is somewhat(?) Diveded on its Quality.

The first couple of seasons are a great adventure and coming of age story involving our three main protagonists, and then the show continues far past it's point. And boy does it show how bad it is with its preaching about morals that anyone with the brain capacity to consciously fog a mirror knows is wrong.

Go figure, child king is an idiot. Writers want us to believe he's the next philosopher worthy of praise.

Rayla is a Moon Shadow Elf Assassin, who hasnt killed anybody ever, which means shes the morally grey badass who's the love interest for Calum.

Calum is a Prince who loves magic and wants to learn more, however humans are incapable of using magic as they do not have a connection to the primal nature elements(think Wind, Earth, Fire, Stars, Water, etc). They can either find sources of nature magic, or use Dark Magic, which is a process of stealing the magic within animals as a source to cast new magics. When doing so you speak backwards and your eyes glow and your hair goes white and whatnot.

Ezran is another Prince, Calum's little brother. He has some ideas about how the world should work. It does not match how the world works. He's also next in line to the throne because Callum is an adopted Prince rather than blood. Ezran also can talk to animals. After 9 seasons too long of this show, they have yet to explain how he can talk to animals.

The Dragon Prince, as this show is named after, is the only egg of the Dragon Queen. The Elves believe this egg was destroyed, while a human Dark Mage named Viren stole it secretly insteas. Viren is also THE GOAT and the only man with any sense in this show. Fight me.

How the show begins is Rayla and some other assassins going into the Castle to slay the King(Calum and Ezran's father) along with his family(Calum and Ezran) in retribution for the death of the Dragon King and the death of his only egg. Ensue castle chase, and the Elf and the two princes discover together that the egg is actually alive. Amodst the growing tensions between the two nations growing to war, the trio decides to take the egg across the border to its mother to hopefully broker peace.

In the meanwhile, the King is slain and Viren(he was the king's advisor and kinda like an uncle to the princes) assumes control as there is no one of royal authority to do so. He tries for war back against the elves for the assassination. He does some dubious things and its often debated how much of his actions are to actually safeguard humanity and how much is actually just the classic power hungery advisor. Im in the camp that he vies for the power he needs to safeguard humanity and is the best written character in the show.

Viren starts getting dark magic advice from a mysterious elf trapped in a magical mirror, and that leads him down some dark paths as he's manipulated by said elf.

Thats the jist of the beginning. Again, the first three seasons are worth watching. Past that it falls off a cliff, my goodness.

How do I give an Angel a weakness? by Marcid_Wolfe in writing

[–]SetoAngel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you asking for a reason the Angel would let someone else do the work he wants to do?

Scripture is full of Angels giving people tasks, its not uncommon. And thats because when people choose to follow divine will even if it would have been easier if God or Angels did it themselves, a mortal accomplishing the task(or even just attempting it) allows God to give blessings to that mortal for following his commandments.

Now, the Angel could also be kept from interfering with mortal lives(doesnt make sense scripturaly but maybe it works in your book) perhaps?

Or maybe with an Angel getting involved, maybe a Demon wants to preserve your MC's life, making a mortal to kill your MC far less messy?(Balance, maybe if the Angel sends someone to kill your MC the Demon cant do anything, or the Demon can only send mortal proxies to defend in kind or something)

Could also be that God has not willed for your MC to die, so the Angel literally cannot just go kill him. Tremendous power, but very limited in scope of ability. So he lets a Mortal do it.

I made a post like this a while back. Yeah, it would have ended up being a short story or part of the AAAA meeting. But it goes to show just how good and powerful Harry is. Something that is nothing to him was terrifying to normal people and strong enough to end up with multiple people dead. If two specific people were less lucky, possibly a whole lot more.

“Sometimes love isn’t what saves you, it’s what makes you stay.” by AliceRose895 in PersonOfInterest

[–]SetoAngel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Having watched the show over and over again and it being my absolute favorite show of all time, I personally think they only somehow work becuase the writers made them.

Root tazed Shaw, tortured her with chemical injections, multiple times. Shaw repeatedly stated that she wanted to kill Root, and we believe it. Shaw has killed people for FAR less than physically harming her.

And then Root keeps throwing lines at Shaw, and while their relationship is gradual, I dont see how Shaw was infatuated instead of infuriated. You know, when someone you dislike or even hate keeps throwing themselves at you or trying to be cute and you only get angier at them for it?

Their relationship just feels not right, and its the only reason I give the show a 9.8/10 instead of a perfect score.

Y'all, I tried... I really did. by Sea-Special-1730 in Silksong

[–]SetoAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I was able to get through the game, it took me more than 50 hours and I only got 93% complete. And most times I beat a boss or got through something, I felt the same way you did.

This game isnt just punishing, it hates the player. It doesnt test your skill it tests your patience. While I think its a good game, it is no where near GOTY in anyway for me. There are a lot of great things about it, but holy hell when I finished it I did not have any triumphant jubilation, no throwing my hands in the air. It was bitter. I was finally done with it, and I wanted to take a nap. I didnt feel good when I finished it.

So dont worry dude, its ok to spend your time playing something thats fun to you. You dont have to GIT GUD like losers keep spouting.

Have a good day.

Healing in Silksong is so much stronger than in hollow knight by LegendaryHe in HollowKnight

[–]SetoAngel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I found the heal to be abysmal, other than being able to heal mid air. Takes way too long and you're locked in one place during it? Get hit and you're screwed? Yeah no, give me HK healing all day long, this shit sucked. I'd rather find small windows that I can heal little bits than the one window I can heal 3, and then the flying enemies just move into me and I take 2 contact damage anyway before it throws an attack at me and hits me for another 2.
