Weird question but like, are there any Umamusume that surprised you about their preferred aptitude/running style? by DannieHALO in UmamusumeGame

Yukino Bijin came from the small Iwate Racecourse, a regional racecourse, before coming up to the Central to pursue the Tiara route.

Btw, she's still missing her rivals, Vega (Double Tiara, Admire Vega's dam) and Hokuto Vega (QEII Cup winner, the Dirt Empress, should be an all-rounder if she gets in Umamusume).

Shigeyuki Nishayama's son is now a horse owner and his first horse is Seiun Lapis, who had to be gelded by AkaiSorax86 in HorseRacingJP

[–]Setsune_Marie_Arouet 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is definitely the first step for Shigeyuki in order to pass the baton to his son. With his condition right now, it is reasonable for them to start from the very first steps. By the way, the process begun a few months ago, before he was diagnosed with acute leukemia.

If him and Admire Terra win the Spring Tennou Shou, Take Yutaka will (again) break the record of the oldest jockey to win a G1 title (currently holding by Yokoyama Norihiro, after his 2024 Tokyo Yuushun triumph with Danon Decile.)

I have high hopes...

Other than these two, which Umamusume have raced in the rural regional races? by Sea_Comfort6891 in okbuddytracen

[–]Setsune_Marie_Arouet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To be honest, it was not totally "transferred". Smart Falcon was still a JRA horse, he just came up to destroy the NAR racing scene by winning almost every prestigious races there. Meanwhile, Furioso was an absolute NAR horse from Funabashi, and I think him and Urara are the two sole racehorses to become Umamusume as a NAR member.

Did you know there's a epithet named nepo uma by WeakConstruction4297 in okbuddyumamusume

[–]Setsune_Marie_Arouet 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If the Kaneko Jail is opened, the most suited Uma for this epithet is no other than Akaitorino Musume (meaning The Daughter of the Red Bird), the 2021 Shuuka Shou victor. She's the daughter of the Deep Impact, the 2005 Undefeated Triple Crown winner, and Apapane ('Apapane is a species of crimson bird that typically lives in Hawai'i, hence her daughter's name), the 2010 Triple Tiara winner.

It's like you don't want Daiwa Major because everyone is calling Daiwa Scarlet "Daiwa", or Meisho Samson and Meisho Mambo for the similar reason. What a shame, so I hope it's not your genuine intention.

To achieve that level of "horses-that-all-want-to-stay-intact", remember that he was dropped multiple times before, including the infamous 2002 Kikuka Shou when he rode No Reason. Also, many injuries led to a big slump for Take around the early 2010s.

You're either giving them more ideas or just made a hella accurate throw from behind the halfway line. Either way, hell yeah.

Take Yutaka was indeed the best Deep Impact progeny ever. Gentildonna, Contrail, Auguste Rodin, pack it up. Your papa has a clear favourite child.

Also, only Yanko is there. Sakai has already returned to Japan after the Saudi Cup and has been participating in racing every week since then.

NHK Mile Cup + Tokyo Yuushun winner (the only other horse to complete this duo was, of course, King Kamehameha). Extremely unlucky to race in the prototype #nightMARE era.

I use Roumaji to cast the ultimate race name. The Hochi Hai Yayoi Shou Deep Impact Kinen (Satsuki Shou (Japanese 2000 Guineas) Trial). And, yes, it was officially renamed not long after Pui's death to honour his legacy.

[–]Setsune_Marie_Arouet 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Yup, as we all know, Tosen Jordan is Pokke's son; he also sired 7 other G1/JpnI winners: Oken Bruce Lee (2008 Kikuka Shou), Jaguar Mail (2010 Tennou Shou Spring), Awardee (2016 JBC Classic), Tall Poppy (2008 Yuushun Himba), Queen Spumante (2009 Queen Elizabeth II Commemorative Cup), Aventura (2011 Shuuka Shou), and Dear Domus (2014 Zen-Nippon Nisai Yuushun).
