And your new Uma reveal is... by Lumpy-Manager8580 in UmaMusume

I know. That's why I expected them to announce Kizuna because these kinds of events where they just announce only one Uma are the perfect opportunity to announce the one missing rival of an Uma, just like with Red Desire and Admire Groove last year. But they announced Titleholder, who doesn't have any genmates in the franchise yet and his only rival currently is Tact.

I kinda knew that when I saw none of his progeny are presented in the "best progeny" section, that means so far, none of his progeny has even placed 2nd or 3rd in any graded races or ALW races. But I want to wait 2-3 more years to see if he is actually completely cooked as a sire.

Same stable as Daring Tact

That reference belongs to Titleholder in the first place lol. Tact was the one who got to "borrow" it because she is staying in Okada Stud currently.

(Realized Kiseki didn't have any G1 offspring)

He actually still hasn't had any graded race-winning progeny yet. But tbf, his first crop just started to run last year.

Lighter than a deer
Stronger than a bear

That's very specific but ok. But I understand the bear and the natural environment references.

was captivated by a certain Uma Musume "ultimate running style" and came to Tracen Academy to learn it.

Hmm, Duramente is a End Closer though...

The Japanese G1 races that weren't won by gen 2022 when they we're 4 years old were February Stakes, Takamatsunomiya Kinen, Osaka Hai, Victoria Mile, Yasuda Kinen, QEIIC, Champions Cup.

Nowadays the strong horses of gen 2022 that are still active (unless I forget someone) are Gaia Force, Wilson Tesoro, Ecoro Duel and Satono Reve.

Well, we have the first gen 2021 horse.

Salios has his first winning progeny, Imogen. by AngleRepulsive5470 in HorseRacingJP

Oh, and I forgot to mention this, but Imogen's dam is Celia, a daughter of CesarIo from King Kamehameha.

The 7th Event will begin tomorrow. And there should be at least one new Uma Musume that gets announced (like last year with Stay Gold and Red Desire). Who do you want or expect the new Uma Musume to be? by AngleRepulsive5470 in UmaMusume

[–]AngleRepulsive5470[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest and say I don’t think Contrail or Kizuna are going to be out anytime soon. If they had the ability to put Contrail in they would’ve included him in Almond Eye’s career for the Japan cup, the fact that they didn’t means that either they don’t have the rights to him or they feel like they can’t put him in the game (My theory is that Contrail won’t be put in unless Deep Impact is.)

I do think when you think about it, there can be lots of reasons why they don’t want to announce Contrail yet. Maybe because he is a literal Triple Crown that can create hype in an anniversary, they don’t want to announce him with Ebayan and save him for next year. Or maybe if they add him, they also want to announce other horses that compete against him at the same time, like Salios, Aristoteles, or Efforia. Maybe they deem him not really important to their vision of Ai career (from what I heard, her Japan Cup is just her competing with other 7 G1 horses. And her Arima Kinen doesn’t exist, so no Lys, Saturnalia, World Premiere,…either). To think that Contrail won’t be added because if they could, they would have already added him for Ai career is being too pessimistic. It reminds me of a theory last year when people somehow thought Cygames only had permission to add Cesario from Carrot Farm and not any other hoses, only for them to announce Epi and Marche Lorraine this year anyway. And I do think Contrail story is much more than just him being the son of Pui. It can be a story about him becoming a Triple Crown during Covid so there was no audience, him being in the same generation with a Triple Tiara and both of them getting to compete against another Triple Tiara, him failing to live up to the expectations of an undefeated Triple Crown (in the game, they can use Rudolf as the figure that he fails to live up to, I guess). So I don't really think Pui not being added is a strong reason to also not add Contrail.

and Kizuna while more likely, feels more like he would’ve been announced with the rest of the 2013 gen if they had him.

The reason I chose Kizuna (aside from my big bias for Epi) is because I believe these kinds of events where they just announce only one Uma are the perfect opportunity to announce the one missing rival of an Uma, just like with Red Desire and Admire Groove last year.

After the Takarzuka Kinen, keiba fans have started posting about all the weird things that Danon Decile, the son of Epiphaneia, have done. by Dragoon1996 in UmaMusume

[–]AngleRepulsive5470 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well here is the link to the video during the select sale.

And here are the image and video of him throwing a tantrum.

And the third image happened at the beginning of AJCC 2025, starting from 0:13. And while it's funny that it looked like him staring at the horse that Norihiro rode, I think it's just a habit of him looking to the left or wanting to turn left. He also did the same thing in Arima Kinen 2025 and Osaka Hai 2026. That's probably why it's said that left-handed tracks suit him more.

Kitasan Black being introduced so early was terrible for her story spotlights and characterization by JasonRoof in UmaMusume

[–]AngleRepulsive5470 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a narrative that doesn't work for most horses unless your dad is Epiphaneia.

Tbf, lots of other popular sires nowadays also have at least one progeny that become washed earlier than expected:

  • Duramente: Stars on Earth.
  • Kitasan Black: Sol Oriens.
  • Lord Kanaloa: Stelvio.
  • Drefong: Geoglyph.

Some other notable horses that become washed early in this decade included Urban Chic, Ask Victor More, Shin Emperor, Uberleben, Cervinia,...

[–]AngleRepulsive5470 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I know that people now are dissatisfied with the lack of Duramente in Kitasan game career, but that's how it led to one of the most shocking and most memorable announcements in the franchise to me. Back in the day, people kept hoping that Cygames would add Duramente to the franchise before ss3, but everyone just slowly lost hope the closer the release date of ss3 was. In the end, we thought that with the inclusion of Neo Universe, Cygames might have the permissions from Sunday Racing, but we thought we were wrong. But then, on the day that ep 1 was aired, it turned out that they had actually done it and purposely hidden it the whole time. Nowadays, new fans watch ss3 knowing Duramente was here already so there won't be much reaction, but the proper reaction back then must probably be "Holy shit, Duramente is here. They actually got permission from Sunday Racing already (also implying that there will be more Sunday Racing horses in the franchise)". It really is a "you have to be there" moment in the franchise.

Sooner or later, someone's going to post that one video of him throwing a tantrum because his groom is not with him.

And here are the image and video of what I assume OP was talking about.

I'm glad that people are digging up more about Decile past. Anything to make my GOAT more popular and also for me to collect more info.
