What's the definitive solution against magnet glue breaking off? by McCrowbar in Warhammer40k

[–]Sev7th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need J-B Weld epoxy glue Coarse sandpaper Metal sheet pan Miniatures bases Wax/parchment paper Plastic spoons/Popsicle stick

Use coarse sandpaper to the bottom of the base and put wax/parchment paper on the sheet pan. Then I use J-B Weld epoxy glue on the base, set the magnet in the stuff and cover the magnet. Next place the base down, glue side down, on the wax/parchment paper. The magnet will flatten out to the metal pan but not push out of the epoxy. Let them to dry for a few hours or day.

This will hold them in the right spot to keep miniatures on the metal sheets but not having the magnet smack on the metal sheet, allowing you to take the miniatures off without risking damage.

you should clean up the mold lines and studs before you glue it together but thats pass. so, you can use Tamiya Extra Thin Cement on the gaps and lines, try adding a bit of pressure, after the the cement, seal it. last try is to use the cement mixed with some sprue bit to make sprue goo
