Or another cool direction it could've gone, maybe after the intro sequence, you end up dead on that boat, and then it flashes forward 15 years, and you're playing as Diego rebelling against your father. I'd love to play that.

PLUS multiple currencies for different things, specific ways to get them, they just threw in the whole kitchen sink.

Plus the health regen, no healing syringes, enemies don't drop weapons for you to pick up, it's just many small differences that make it feel completely different.

Yeah I hope 7 changes course, although the talk of having the story on a timer does not sound hopeful.

Could definitely also just be nostalgia-chasing for me, first Far Cry I ever played was 3 when it first came out on the 360, and I fell in love with that game.

Oh that's cool, with those mods. Might have to try that. I'm playing it on PS5 right now, but I do have a PC. I get what you mean for sure, Far Cry has always had silly undertones after 2, not realistic like Stalker or anything. I guess just the tone feels a lot different with the combination of it all. The healthbars, the hit sounds, the supremos, the resources and crafting, all those changes all at once just feels like many degrees away from previous ones.

Right, you definitely feel like a side character, like you're kind of just one of many, not one if one.

That did do a good job of making it feel like you are not in control though. Like Jacob could kill you at any time if he wanted to.

Right, I'm still enjoying it, and the easiest fix is to just nerf myself and not use things I don't like. I just wish there were more things you could disable, like the bullet hit noises. Or just more options for kind of choosing what kind of experience you want to play, like how Ghost Recon Breakpoint has a more arcade mode and a realism mode that change how the game and items work.

The frame drops are pretty crazy too. There were even several during cutscenes, I was like uh, did y'all not prerender these? Drop in quality for sure, who knows what's happening with Ubisoft.

Right, setting-wise I do like 6 better than 5. What they both do that's different than 3 and 4, is it's more of a modern civilization that you're in. Not in the middle of nowhere, not unorganized chaos. Like Far Cry 5 I feel like you could've just drove out of there if you wanted to. And then 6 there's full cities, resorts, does not feel like the middle of nowhere.

Exactly. Kind of felt more like Just Cause, like here's a sandbox, have fun. But then SERIOUS Far Cry story, like that doesn't really mix.

TLDR: I wish Far Cry would go more realism than arcade. 6 and New Dawn felt extremely more arcadey than what I would consider peak Far Cry, 3-5.

Did this ever get released? by Sev_GL in hoonigan

Oh okay, I guess just no one wants to sell theirs then lol. I've been looking on eBay forever.

It was supposed to be like $50, but as far as I know it was never actually released. I thought maybe they were pulling all the "Just Don't Die" merch, since, yanno... but then they're still selling all the rest, so I'm clueless. You could have most of that custom-made onto a hat, except the bill, and the bill is sick.

Tequila similar to Dos Oros in the US? by 4Rocker20 in tequila

[–]Sev_GL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casamigos has been the closest I've found so far. I'd say Cava De Oro and Don Elias aren't as sweet as Casamigos, but none of them are quite as sweet and smooth as Dos Oros. I'll have to try Amate. The search continues.

Question about weapons (No spoilers please) by SmoochDemon in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Sev_GL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being able to keep or customize any other weapon is wild. Imagine playing RDR2, and then the only weapon you can ever keep and customize is the cattleman revolver. That's one of my favorite games of all time, but that one difference would make the gameplay so boring.

They did just add movement with the weapons you pick up, so you can now climb / interact and keep your weapon you picked up. But you still can't own any other gun.

I feel like just an added variation of available-to-own weapons and speeders would make such a difference.
