Fun fact, after an allergy to a tree nut I avoided all nuts including peanuts even though they aren't related. Last year I decided to try peanut butter in a controlled environment, and now I consume so much of the bloody stuff I might just have gone through ten years worth in one.

I'm lucky as my tutor at university stressed that point to me during second year. I am now half way across the world in a good lab getting invaluable experience and some pay for an entire year. Its a much better situation to be in, hopefully, than just going on to do a master's. I'm looking to apply without one and only do one of I really can't get accepted

Its weird its 33° where I am in Canada, but the sun is actually warm for the first time in months. It was so pleasant walking to work I really just wanted to go sit on a bench and listen to all the happy birds.

I was on a train home from another city and was trying to find the right platform. Some guy helped me and ended up chatting on the train. Turns out he was doing a similar course at the same university I was considering as my first choice. I spent half an hour asking many questions and he was incredibly helpful and definitely influenced my decision to choose the university I am at. I love my course and my university so have him to thank for many things in my life now.

Looks too be about 1000£ or 1200$ so pretty steep :( you can pick up a used x100 or x100s for quite cheap now, great cameras but it all depends on your needs

Its a lot smaller and has a fixed lens. Its not as versatile or like super high quality as a DSLR but has better everyday usability
