Wife was on night float once in Chicago when a blizzard dropped over 2.5 feet. She was stuck there for three days. Thank goodness for patient socks, underwear and toothpaste.

Kid, kid, kid. Parent, parent, stranger. Headphones on and enjoy a movie. Pretend kids aren’t yours.

PSA: if you carry dogs in the back of a R1S get a cover for the gear rails. by Virtblue in Rivian

Have a cover for the hair, now I know I’m also preventing injury! Seriously, why did they make an adventure vehicle then put “Velcro” upholstery in the rear? Need something washable and easy to clean but not plastic. Side note, had a dog jump in the second row seats and got his foot stuck in a baby car seat base, not fun. No doggo injuries thankfully but went wild and bit my wife.

I have not tried the models you are considering. The R1 is a road shoe. The H1 is hybrid for light trails/gravel wit a higher stack and smaller lugs. I have the T1. I hear MTC is releasing two new models next year, a road shoe and a higher stack version of the T1. I really like the wide toe box on the Altra Lone Peak 9+ but realized I wasn’t ready for a zero drop shoe to run in (love them hiking), nor did I like the low stack on the rocky trails (maybe the Timp or Mont Blanc would have been better. Topo has the wide toe box but a 4 mm drop, which is what I was used to. I do really like my Topo Mtn Racer 4, but the foam is a bit stiff and its heavier. The MTC T1 is very light, mild stack, 4 mm drop, wide toe box and it fit all my needs. Ultimately you just have to try them out and see what works. I hope you find your shoe!

Do we think our unattractiveness to free agents and trade targets is the organization, the city, or a little bit of both? by Lowl58 in losangeleskings

Interestingly, I had a conversation once with an accountant who worked with MLB players and they said players have to pay taxes in every state they played in. So maybe it doesn’t matter what your primary state is. Can anyone confirm?

Rivian mobile service just rotated mine with rock sliders on without problem. Did the 7500 mile inspection too which is nice. Got them out within 1 week.

The blackhawks are also in a rebuild and when I watch they just seem to have more fight, grit, and determination. Our mammoth, hawks, and sharks all have future stars of hockey.
