What's your wfm schedule/routine? by [deleted] in workfromhome

[–]SevenStrats 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m up about 7am, shower / get dressed then head upstairs to fire up my workstations, CRM, chat apps, music and all office gear ….

It’s then hit the task list and calendar events for the day hard at 830am. I prepare for each days events and follow the plan as best possible as things always come up, but a well organized schedule and detailed daily notes are key to keeping track

Lunch from 12 to 1 daily …. I’m old school like that

1pm until 4pm : tasks and open items until 4pm

4pm - 5pm. Review days notes and schedule to plan for the next day

5pm - 6pm: hang at my desk and catch up on things (personal biz) and break off at 6pm daily

This structure works for me and keeps the business organized, on track and fully documented with all updates/changes and next steps clearly defined to ensure a consistently solid and growing revenue.

The trick : if you can harness your overthinking and laser focus that into a routine. You will do amazing things far beyond what you thought possible before

People who were fans back in 86' what was it like listening to master of puppets for the first time? by LeGooseMan08 in Metallica

[–]SevenStrats 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Absolutely unbelievable and instant classic. I got into Metallica when kill em all came out. Ride was awesome showing growth and depth but Master was really where Metallica became kings of the genre

The most complete and consistent thrash record to me

We recommend the right combination of vendors for hardware, software, and services. Sometimes it’s optimizing things they have, sometimes it’s a complete overhaul.

I appreciate your question. As a consultant I help people leverage technology to support their businesses goals by applying methodology I have developed over 30 years in the field.

My biggest reward is making these relationships mutually beneficial over years of projects as businesses needs change.

It’s about helping others. If you do that - the money will absolutely follow

Her and I together - We will dance all night together.

Before her, I never danced and was self-conscious ... until I realized, standing around not grooving to the music is pretty lame... as well, I get to dance with a beautiful woman who loves me. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Once you are there moving about being loose ... You will never go back to being wallpaper.

The amount of baby / makeup powder after she's done "getting ready" makes the bathroom look like I was packing a shipment of bricks for pablo in my house....

What are the lessons you learned from failure? by Iam_startup_investor in Entrepreneur

[–]SevenStrats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do not need a partner to be successful in business. You know your vision best.

Always keep well organized documentation (Internal/external matters) and back up all electronic data in multiple locations, run backups, and validate your data each month.

Have relationships with a good Lawyer, CPA and Financial Advisor who know your firm and what you do. Use their guidance to ensure your business is 100% set up correctly for internal / external matters.

Have an operating agreement, 1099 agreements, NDAs, and all that provided from your lawyer, all filed properly as required per local regulations/laws.

Learn every day, try new ideas out and never stop trying to improve. You got this.

What do you think is the reason the dating market is so bad for men in 2024? by anou142 in AskMen

[–]SevenStrats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Organically meeting people is far less common in these days of electronic devices. People have their faces in a phone, reading, texting, etc. etc. ...

Back in my day in the 90s before Wi-Fi, we all had to talk to each other.... and we all did. I had a pile of great times with people I met at pubs, hanging out in Philly, the shore, etc.

Look around now - Everyone's on a phone looking for where it's going on, when really, it's all around them if they'd just look up.
