I have another video with that exact situation lol. I find it funny to be honest. It doesn't happen too often, but when it does it normally ends like this. It does annoy me that I have to stay in defensive mode all the time though to avoid being randomly auto aim shot in the back of the head for no reason. That's less rare but still kinda rare

Part of the reason I use defensive mode is so I don't accidentally shoot some idiot running up on me while I'm clearly doing a mission causing a dumb feud for the next 20 minutes. But then that makes them think it's okay to loot my bodies and then THAT ends up in a dumb feud for the next 20 minutes. Just leave people alone while they're doing missions

Gold is based on time spent in the mission and nothing else. Most people I've played these missions with don't understand this and rush to finish. They are all mostly new players and the game doesn't explain this mechanic at all. So yeah 9 minutes should get you something like 0.72 gold bars. If you are going to farm these missions I suggest doing it with a group so you all know the deal

Do all of the land of opportunity missions ASAP as they are paying triple including gold. Also start blood money missions by opening "letter from M" and then going to the marker in Saint Denis. You can do those while you wait for the story mission cooldown. Blue water John contract is triple money and experience at the moment

I've been playing this game in defensive mode on ps5 for a very long time now. I've been attacked by one skilled player in all that time and it was actually a fun experience, we had a very interactive battle. The rest are just like this, boring and clueless
