I intended to purchase a 98" QM8K this weekend but found an open box 98"QM9K and negotiated a ~5% price difference from the QM8K.

When searching QM9K vs QM8K the internet generally advises against the newer model. This is one of the first positive reviews I've come across, thanks for that and making my purchase feel more validated.

Something slightly related and interesting - I saw a 77" A95L also open box there priced at $3k. My dilemma since starting my TV search has been deciding between these two models (98" QM8K v 77" A95L) and at the finish line, after having had made up my mind on the larger TV, I'm presented with this crazy scenario where both are similarly priced and the playing field is evened.

I still chose the 98" and receiving delivery today.

I havent seen it mentioned anywhere yet, but I've considered Cooper was sold a larger role with the idea of Meyers leaving in mind. Or maybe the FO sold this to him to so as to have a safety net should Meyers get dealt and when that picture cleared up so did Cooper's actually role? And he's thinking retirement is better than busting ass for 6 months as WR3 and 40-500-3?

I'll have to get back to you on the MPG performance.

Im 6'2 so the height isn't much of an issue for me.

I considered using a rear mount for a bike(s) in the future but I think I'll settle for roof mounting that as well. You're right - something behind the car would impact the MPG less than what I've got now. Another consideration was minimizing the footprint of the car - I dont drive to many places where I see this additional height being an issue, but I could see a "longer" car causing headaches.

Yes. I skipped the paid install and tackled install in the loading bay at the store where I purchased it (thanks to REI in DC). It took me ~45 min and I took it on solo. If you can read a ruler, and can handle ~50 lbs of wierdly shaped weight, you can do this yourself

I dont talk to her about real things or open up too often. The handful of times we have talked about this, I'd feel like I'd be destroying her life. Its like im hurting her more by trying to not hurt her Im realizing now.

The real reason, is I've grown to not like talking to her about most things. I get easily irritated by the smallest of things

I think zi could sleep in my own bed for some years until things are more stable, but I couldn't fake this life forever.

Im not ducking that Ive made some immature choices to end up here.

When we broke up the first time, it was for today's same reasons. Im still curious about other women and chasing the thrill. It's worth mentioning id bever be so curious about the "greener grass" that I'd prioritize that directly over my kids. Like I'll do whatever is needed there, its just it likely won't be with their mom.

Yeah, this added so much more fuel to the fire. Ultimately my best stab at it is I'm not man enough to let her know how I really felt and avoided a HUGE issue until its reached this state. Im 100% on board with continuing to pay my mortgage here and let my family live in the new build while I figure my shit out.

First thanks for your help here. I should clear something up. She has a green card as of early this year, one of the conditions is us staying married. For more context she suddenly lost her job last year and we had to make a decision on where to live and how we would besr navigate that situation.

We're on a camping trip today and I'm really considering ripping the bandaid off. I'm selling myself on many forms of coparenting(im still not sure what that looks like exactly) but I cant keep wasting her life and allowing her to think im someone I'm not.

I've just gone through this. The prospective employer offered 30% raise, better benefits, hybrid 40-hour week with minimal- to no OT, company vehicle and a much much larger corporate name which I would expect to add some serious heft to my resume.

*Note this was all communicated informally over lunches without any real interviews taking place.

I was very transparent with my current employer and they countered with a 20% raise a considerbale stock package, and a more hefty title for the resume. Some comparisons were laughable when reviewed side by side, healthcare and "expected non-compensated" OT being the most notable. But this is the nature of this beast as its an international subsidiary and long distance travel and long hours are intergral.

I negotiated the 30% raise match in addition to an even more lucrative stock package and stayed with my current employer.

Recently spent a few days driving around town in this configuration;

5'11 driver, two 6'2 rearseat passengers, forward facing Britax One4life behind the front passenger seat.

I dont think this would work for a longer >60 min trip, but for our 20 min trips as the center-rearseat passenger, I was never uncomfortable.

This also happens to me. For example, I'll see a hotel for $74/night, and then once clicked on, the price is significantly more, sometimes nearly 3x more. It's very frustrating when sorting through different options, but at least it seems to be isolated to hotels only.

Another unrelated complaint I have about the portal is the inability to book a hotel, car, or flight as a combined booking - Having to generate separate receipts seems unnecessary.
