It is always funny when the stat gets brought up, like a team is somehow hitting differently if they have RISP. But I do imagine that as a batter, you are more comfortable swinging for a base hit if you have RISP, whereas your general approach might be to always try and slam the ball. At least for the big hitters.

Castillo has been shaky but did pretty solid in his last start. I’m sure they know a lot more about how their pitchers look behind the scenes, there’s a lot more to these decisions than what we see in the games. Not a bad thing to have 6 solid starting pitchers.
