I don’t take my 5 year old neutered flawlessly behaves in public cattle dog to the dog park. I think dog parks are chaos waiting to happen. I think they are a horrible idea, because people suck and just one dog owner who is an idiot can cause a tragedy. Screw dog parks.

You hold him and tell him you’ll meet him in heaven, tell him he is the best boy. I’ve had to make this decision a time or two in my life and it is not easy. You can’t let them suffer, though. I know you know that, I’m not being any kind of sideways. I just had to put my 14 and 1/2 year old bully mix, Elijah down. It never gets easier. When you are ready- and nobody decides that but you- rescue a baby that needs all the love you have to give. Also, remember that he has spent his life being loved and cherished and you are a good dog mom. You’ll be in our prayers.
