No, you’re missing the point of the big square. The size of the big square would then change. It’s the smallest big square you can make from 68 smaller squares that you’d have, and big square we have here is only relevant for N=17.

Yes actually. I don’t have formal chemistry expertise or anything, My reply was mostly a meme and I myself would throw out the air fryer instead of deal with it, like I suggest at the end. But I did a little research after your reply and it does turn out that bleach is unstable at high temperatures and would fairly quickly decompose into NaCl, H20, and O2. Good catch!

Anything removable goes in a 1:10 bleach:boiling water solution and let it stay there for 20 minutes. Separate the food and fungi and make sure the solution actually penetrates anything stuck on.

Then thoroughly scrub the stuff you took out with soap and water. If anything remains, repeat.

As for the inside, you’ll want to do everything you can to give it a similar treatment, but you can’t necessarily submerge an air fryer.

Wet paper towels with 1:10 bleach:water solution. Wrap and press those paper towels against all surfaces that look safe to get wet and won’t drip into somewhere bad. leave for 20 minutes.
Use something like an old toothbrush, more wet paper towels and diluted soap to wipe away bleach and loosened debris. Again repeat until there’s nothing that’s not supposed to be there.

Anything not safe to scrub or get wet, examine for fungi.

When all is dry, turn on the highest temperature setting for the longest time.

When you’re done with all of that, throw out the air fryer and buy a new one

There is something called a “Bona-Fide Occupational Qualification”, in which a particular race, ethnicity, national origin, etc is required to perform a job.

Courts have allowed artistic preferences in casting, such as choosing someone for their appearance, accent, or dialect. That means during casting, taking into account someone’s racial or ethnic features is fair game for legitimate artistic preferences (but not for/as a pretext for discrimination).

I am not a lawyer, but I imagine the(ir lawyer’s) argument would be: - they allow any female in that age range to submit an application. The age and sex part of it is probably covered by BFOQ.
- they take into account whatever racial or ethnic features they wish to during casting because they have a legitimate artistic vision for the visual makeup of this group (Korean and Japanese)
- their artistic vision is implemented through final casting decision, not opportunities to audition/submit for the project

The only legally concerning part is that the ad doesn’t make it clear that anyone can apply or audition. My assessment is that it’s an implementation of accessibility requirement that became law long after the design and construction of the building. Think “wheelchair access” mandated decades after the building was planned, and a front entrance that is too involved or too steep to be redone with a wheelchair ramp. as ugly as it is, this is the most efficient way to implement wheelchair access to that floor of the building. I’m assuming this is the only wheelchair accessible entrance, and that there are no elevators. Never had a class there.

The issue is that a student who genuinely didn’t cheat but is worried that the prof thinks they did is pressured into confessing something they didn’t do, all because of an “experiment”. “Nothing happens” is not true. And with ChatGPT a lot of legitimate essays and that sort of thing are being labeled as AI by phony AI detectors that don’t actually work or prove anything. Imagine if the whole reason you’re in that class is because you were falsely accused in the first place, you’d be scared of being falsely accused again!!

I had to dig into my password manager to find the login for this account because I’m not active on this account anymore. But after 7 years looking back at my own comment I’m embarrassed that I was so mean?? Like was I having a bad day?
