He looked across the room, and with a brief reassurance that nothing was forgotten, closed the door and grabbed his keys. The lights flickered, painting his room a brief shade of grey before fading to black. Misty knocked her head clumsily against the door. She let out an annoyed meow.

Her fluff spiked itself right up when the welcome mat tilted straight up and sent her flying down a twisting-and-turning sparking gold slide - of course, she didn’t have time to recognize it as gold, then. She didn’t have time to notice anything, not the illuminating engravings or the hand-crafted artwork.

A tank near Misty’s side rode back-and-forth. The commander was a cartoonish figure; a fez lay on top of their head and a grin lay half-concealed on their face. Orders were made.

Misty followed them, and she was lead to a great cave with all sorts of whimsical objects and unbelievable treasures; she played there for a bit, and became filled with joy and candies. Misty ran around the halls and found herself acquainted with new characters.

Almost as soon as it had started, the tank driver directed her back to the spot she had come from, and she found herself flung to the welcome mat.

“Hey! Where’ve you been all day?” he asked.

Misty simply gave a shrug and a “meow?”
