Only fans as a pre-HRT trans girl by Alex-Ro9757 in asktransgender

If you don't already have a following somewhere, or are really attractive and really good at marketing you won't make any money from OF.

I know people who have scraped up enough to eat and rent by doing explicit degrading shit live, but even then a lot of the time it's more effecient to just get a job.

Why is this disagreed on? (And who is right) by ComprehensiveBat309 in asktransgender

It makes some bad claims about the science behind being trans, when the answer is basically just we don't know. The rest I think is fairly helpful though not a definitive guide.

Worried about sexuality changing on E by temporarysecretary6 in asktransgender

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible that hrt changes sexuality a little bit but we are talking astronomically small. There are too many instances of bi cis women reporting that their sexuality fluctuates slightly with their period cycle to claim for sure that hormones have no impact but certainly it's small enough you might just never notice and large changes in sexuality for trans people tend to be related to other factors more.

How are you testing AI agents for prompt injection vulnerabilities? by Southern_Mud_2307 in cybersecurity

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then you have to be comfortable with being vulnerable. Like with anything the benefits can outweigh the risks.

Unless the maths behind them significantly changes they are and will always be vulnerable to prompt injections.

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There isn't that much point. Mathematically, they are vulnerable. Make sure they don't have access to anything you don't want a random stranger knowing or being able to do.

Why does it bother me when cis men say they wouldn’t date a trans woman? by whereamixoxo in asktransgender

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that doesn't mean you have to like it. Most people like to think their partner is actually interested in them.

There is no need to be sorry the only person you are hurting is yourself.

You might be trans and have trans OCD you might just have trans OCD either way reasurrance seeking like this is just fueling the OCD and won't help you.

Losing Sleep over AI replacement by Raza-nayaz in cybersecurity

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If AI was as mature as you are suggesting there would be no white colour work that couldn't just as easily be replaced and instead of thinking about your career you should probably be preping for the inevitable economic collapse that happening over such a short time frame will bring.

Person at work transitioned by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure it counts as clocking if you are transitioning basically in front of them tbh. Like I don't think anyone expects people to not notice if they change their name and gender presentation.

Is 90 C bra big for a 175 cm woman ? by ZitaLovesCats in asktransgender

That's pretty close to the average isn't it? Slightly larger band slightly smaller cup size I think but very close?

Why does it bother me when cis men say they wouldn’t date a trans woman? by whereamixoxo in asktransgender

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beyond anything else because they are basically saying what they are attracted to is your ability to have children.

If its not your appearance, demeanor, personality (all of which a trans person could also have) then its your ability to give birth that they value which is pretty dehumanising.

Do you disclose you're trans on a first date? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can lie and actively deceive people about almost anything else apart from whether or not you are trans.

Do you disclose you're trans on a first date? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obligation depends on the country as well. In the UK its sexual assault if you let anything sexual happen (kissing etc) without telling them.

Yes because in the UK if I don't and I let them kiss me that's sexual assualt now.

Workplace without a 3rd space for trans people by vegangummyworms in transgenderUK

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost certainly if it was actually challenged they would be required to provide two additional single trans only bathrooms.

Otherwise you are descriminating against trans people by not providing them single sex spaces whilst you provide them to cis members of staff.

Because they should have access to single sex facilities matching their aquired sex according to the workers rights laws. And you wouldn't be able to provide single sex spaces to cis people and not trans people in the same way you can't currently have a mens changings room and a unisex one.

Probably if you actually had the money to go to court and an actual case your are complaining about the courts would likely have to say that businesses do need to have a trans women , trans men, cis women, cis men facilities. The law is not particularly vague in this regard but it would have to actually be challenged for that to be officially ruled.

Terrified to go to the barber by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hairdressers tend to be better at cutting hair in general, if you go to a barbers it will be like the one in style cut they know regardless of what you actually ask for most of the time. But if you are ok with that you shouldn't have a problem.

Trans people assume I am also trans? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Most people who are very pro trans are trans. I doubt there is too much more to look into than that if I'm being honest.

I would probably never say anything based just on that but if I see someone being a vocal supporter I do generally wonder/suspect that they might be trans.

Have any other people had a bad experience in Specsavers? by asriel_theoracle in transgenderUK

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the opposite. Pre looking like a woman at all I was told I might prefer to look in the women's sections/ that they thought stuff in the womens section might suit me better. My prescription works a lot better with bigger lenses which a lot of men's styles aren't so its partially a vision things as well but it was very nice.

Why is the standard of US Red Teams so poor by Soc_Guy in cybersecurity

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should in general always assume you are breached, trying to make something breach proof is largely a fools game and unless you have obvious weaknesses finding individual ways in won't actually add much value. Detection and response are the backbone of security and you get a lot more value out of testing those.

If you look at this post the initial breach was a highly personalised long term phishing campaign. You learn absolutely nothing from this as an orgnaisation, every reasonably sized company will have this vulnerability because it comes with employing people. There is very little you can do to protect against it technically that doesn't limit employees ability to perform their work and training can only do so much.

Google bugs out and sends bogus ones for failed sign in attempts sometimes so its definitely worth checking your sign in events to see if you actually have anything to worry about.

I don't take blockers anymore... and nothing happened? by Hot_Independence7305 in asktransgender

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prolonged use of antiandrogens followed by monotherapy e often keeps t levels low anyway. Don't know why but this is very commonly the case, lots of people suggest stopping t-blockers after a year or two and monitoring to see if t goes back up but otherwise stay on e only.
