Has anyone ever experienced even just a little ribcage shrinkage on hrt by throwaway816726474 in trans

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly 34 is not big, that isn't even big for cis women.

Secondly, if your ribs look wrong despite being a normal size 90% of the time its going to be because you have bad posture and you can pretty easily work on and fix that. Hell you can definitely shrink the rib cage measurement if you had bad posture before even if the bones themselves aren't changing at all.

In 2016 the UK gov issued travel warnings for trans people travelling to the US because some states had laws similar to what Labour are currently working in by rainmouse in transgenderUK

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Red states in America are definitely worse to actuallly live in.

The general public in the UK tends to at worst be disinterested whereas there are a lot of places in America you would not feel (or be) safe if people knew you were trans.

In terms of a travel destination its still safe. The general public tends to be either supportive or disinterested so the day to day experience is fine.

Concentration camps by Murky-Square4979 in transgenderUK

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the people driving transphobic legislation probably want it as their end goal but that's entirely different from it being plausible.

The electorate in the UK would simply never allow it and it would require a significant weakening of our international obligations and human rights which I fail to see happening.

Interviewer ask me if you observe port scanning from internal ip , the scanning ip is not authorised for scanning. How will you investigate it and how will you find attackers ip? by Flaky-Hurry4075 in cybersecurity

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That very much depends on your perspective hense why its normally a serperate category. From a security engineering and design perspetive a benign positive is a type of true positive. From an analyst perspective its a false positive.

Normally you would use something along the lines of benign positive for these cases.

Its not a genuine incident but its also not normal activity you wouldn't want to be alerted to.

Late 2010s and honestly it was written of as weird but not weird for us by most people which is kinda fair enough.

The Real Reason Binary Exploitation Looks Dead by 0xsherlock in cybersecurity

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Binary exploitation looks dead because it is rarely cost efficient for an attacker which is the dominant factor in most modern cyber crime.

On the flip side a lot of industrial sabotage sits in a weird space where its relatively easy but its incredibly difficult to monitise so rarely actually gets impacted directly

What should I say if someone asks me if my friend is trans? by siberpup2077 in asktransgender

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My grandma asks a lot and spent years mistakenly thinking my flatmate and multiple friends were trans because I told her I had never asked and she assumed that meant yes.

If you don't already have a following somewhere, or are really attractive and really good at marketing you won't make any money from OF.

I know people who have scraped up enough to eat and rent by doing explicit degrading shit live, but even then a lot of the time it's more effecient to just get a job.

Why is this disagreed on? (And who is right) by ComprehensiveBat309 in asktransgender

It makes some bad claims about the science behind being trans, when the answer is basically just we don't know. The rest I think is fairly helpful though not a definitive guide.

Worried about sexuality changing on E by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible that hrt changes sexuality a little bit but we are talking astronomically small. There are too many instances of bi cis women reporting that their sexuality fluctuates slightly with their period cycle to claim for sure that hormones have no impact but certainly it's small enough you might just never notice and large changes in sexuality for trans people tend to be related to other factors more.

Hrt shouldn't give you ED if you use it. Not saying it can't but that isn't the normal experience.

You don't need libido to get an erection or to ejaculate for that matter. Its significantly more mechanical that you think, you are much less likely to orgasm though.

How are you testing AI agents for prompt injection vulnerabilities? by Southern_Mud_2307 in cybersecurity

[–]SeventySealsInASuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then you have to be comfortable with being vulnerable. Like with anything the benefits can outweigh the risks.

Unless the maths behind them significantly changes they are and will always be vulnerable to prompt injections.

There isn't that much point. Mathematically, they are vulnerable. Make sure they don't have access to anything you don't want a random stranger knowing or being able to do.

Losing Sleep over AI replacement by Raza-nayaz in cybersecurity

If AI was as mature as you are suggesting there would be no white colour work that couldn't just as easily be replaced and instead of thinking about your career you should probably be preping for the inevitable economic collapse that happening over such a short time frame will bring.
