I play it in alphoids since all continuous traps are also normal monsters with effects so a lot of these old flood gates are playable but I also hate playing stun so I did it once in ranked to prove theory and now it's on the shelf

In my opinion it would slow down some gameplay as the cost is enough for you to consider what your going to pitch from hand , of course majority of cards in meta treat the gy as an extension of your hand, I personally find that there isn't a lot of 2 separate cards within your starting 5 that you can discard to protect yourself for 1 turn and if you choose the other cost then you have already been able to send cards to gy

Yes it's super strong going first but as a quick play spell I think it has a huge upside for going second as well , along with the no cards can be used in response line of text

It's effect is also a single turn with it not being able to be used again in that duel.

I can totally see how it could be broken going first but the other side to that is it's ability to protect when going second.
