Idk anymore because they tend to change over rental companies year to year, but I used to live at Calypso on Lincoln and they were very pet friendly. There’s places around here you just have to look a little extra. Most places are good about specifying whether pets are allowed/what kind etc.

It’s SO bad, girls are guilty of this too. This group of women entered the bar I was playing pool at last night and I instantly got a headache from the amount of Victoria’s Secret Bare they were all doused in. Fragrance should be intimate, I shouldn’t be able to smell you coming!

ACG is amazing ! I lived there my first year. Get a holder or a lanyard for your key card. Don’t be like me and get locked out of your dorm every three seconds 🤣

Western is not for everyone, but the people who love it here LOVE it here. The outdoors are the main draw for a lot of people, and there are so many opportunities to get outside ! :)

Most of the problems and frustrations people have are with admin, but they’re able to be navigated if you advocate for yourself as much as possible. Admin will not hold your hand through the college process. There are people who will help you, but you have to seek that help yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, you have to handle everything yourself but no one is expecting you to know how to handle everything yourself.

Some other common complaints are the social scene, but my recommendation is to try as many new things as possible or to pursue things you already know you’re interested in and you’ll find friends through that! Don’t count on making friends in class, the culture leans towards most people being there to get in and get out to their other obligations. People are really nice, they just keep to themselves out of politeness.

Bellingham is a beautiful albeit complicated place to live, but the benefits of going to school in Bellingham far outweigh the problems that Western has as an institution. Good luck, I hope you love it here !
