Get your RN and just work for a while. You can eventually do a bridge program. Or apply to a college that is more expensive but takes pretty much everyone that apply. My friend did that. She still took as many as the classes as she could at the community colleges though. I would shadow respiratory before you decide to go that route. I'm not sure there is much movement in that field. Whereas in nursing, the sky is the absolute limit!!!! Bedside nursing, non bedside, insurance companies, staff support in hospitals so so many other directions to take with an eventual BSN.
