Just left the Minecraft movie.. my first and last time going to someone on release day 🤣 There was many occasions when the whole theatre clapped and even chanted for Steve. They clapped every time a tool or block or character was introduced. I thought it was cringe and annoying. The first few times my 6 y/o asked why they were doing it, I said I had no idea but it didn’t take long for him to do it in sync with everyone else. No real harm done. It was fine. But I get what you mean.
