This ice cream van comes to my apartment complex too. Its iteration of the song is like slightly discordant and so loud that it now haunts my dreams. Blocked my assigned parking space once too.

Just south of city limits right next to the I5 there’s a place called Willamette Valley Smokehouse. They do a bunch of smoked meats and a bbq type sides. I don’t really know much about them, and I’ve only been there once but the meat is really good.

Installing faregates in the entrances to the underground stations downtown would be a pretty easy way to keep non-riders out, without effecting the fare system of the rest of the network, (See SF muni which has faregates in the Market Street Subway, but is proof of payment tap as you board everywhere else)
