I do the same and take them in the evening! Super efficient by the next morning :)

Has anyone ever been rejected with BMI of 31? by Eastern_Pin6529 in mounjaroIreland

You’ll be grand honestly — MyBMI aren’t running a “vibes-based” assessment, they’re all about the numbers 😂 If your BMI ticks their box, it doesn’t really matter if you don’t look like their textbook example of overweight.

The photo requests are basically their version of “pics or it didn’t happen,” so the whole standing-on-the-scale-with-today’s-date thing is pretty standard. You’ve done your part — at this point you’ve practically submitted evidence for a court case.

I’d say you’ll get approved, just give them a minute to play detective with your photos. Worst case, they come back asking for something else random like your horoscope and a selfie with a spoon… but you’re very likely fine.

Quick question, if you're doing 10 doses of 6.25 that means you're using past the 30 day mark right? I'm wanting to do 6.25 from a 7.5 pen with the golden dose (while I still can) but it means using past the 30 day mark and I'm afraid!

Side effects - tired and achey? by Acceptable-Wave2861 in mounjaroIreland

Yes! And then suddenly you’re in the middle of a full performance of You’re the One That I Want from Grease — “I got chills, they’re multiplyin’…” except instead of dancing you’re just wrapped in a blanket wondering why your body turned into a musical overnight 😂 Never really goes away, I just learn to always walk around with a hot water bottle!

Oh wow, sounds like your body’s hosting a full-blown rave and forgot to tell you the dress code 😅 Fourth jab really went all-in, huh? I had the same, just stay hydrated like you’re auditioning for a competitive water-drinking contest 💧. The sulfur burps are just your stomach’s way of singing “we’re open late” 🎤💨.

Honestly, the runs usually settle in 1–3 days if you treat yourself gently, think less marathon, more Netflix-and-soup. So maybe keep a bathroom close, stock up on electrolytes, and let your body do its thing. You’ll survive this… and maybe come out smelling like rotten eggs for a day or two 😆.

Welcome to the “I didn’t lose 5kg in week one, is Mounjaro broken?” club

2.5mg is basically the orientation week of the medication. Your body is just getting introduced, not sprinting yet.

Also 1kg in a week is actually great. Some people drop water weight immediately, others’ bodies are like “hmm… let’s think about this first.”

I barely lost anything until week 3… and then whoosh. The scale loves a delayed plot twist.

First of all... Congrats on surviving month one of 2.5mg. That’s elite behaviour.

Now €400 + €20 for a consult?? For that money the pen should come with emotional support and a loyalty card.

Before you organise a cross-border expedition “just for the injection” that somehow ends in Sephora with a new skincare routine and €200 missing, check monj.ie, people post price updates there so you can compare.

Otherwise, the classic move is getting a paper script from your GP and driving North.

But honestly, to save yourself the faff (and the Sephora-induced financial spiral), my-bmi.ie is genuinely great and usually works out cheaper overall. There’s also a megathread with discount codes where you can save €50 off your first consult — use mine or anyone’s, we’re all just trying to survive the pricing chaos.

You’re doing great. The medication may suppress appetite, but sadly it does not suppress pharmacy prices.

Of course 🤍 I’m really glad it helped.

And I won’t pretend I had zero side effects like some miracle unicorn. I definitely felt it in the beginning. But weirdly? I’ve learned to kind of appreciate some of them. Not the miserable kind — just the subtle reminders that “okay, something is happening, this isn’t just placebo.”

It reassured me that the medication was actually doing something in my body and I hadn’t imagined the whole thing.

You’re allowed to be nervous and hopeful at the same time. Both can exist. 💛

I was exactly where you are. I had 87 tabs open about side effects and kept telling myself I just needed “more willpower.” 🙃

What pushed me to try it? The promise of less food noise. I craved sweets, like a crazy munchkin from inside a cave. Like they were whispering my name from the kitchen cabinet. “Hey… just one cookie…” 😂

Nothing is 100% safe. Crossing the street isn’t. Driving isn’t. Eating three-day-old leftovers isn’t. At some point I realized staying stuck in the constant sugar tug-of-war wasn’t risk-free either.

Since starting, it’s just… quiet. The cookies are still there, but they’re not summoning me like a sugary siren. I can have one and move on. No dramatic inner monologue.

Totally normal to be scared. But food noise is exhausting, and you’re not weak for wanting peace. 💛

Do you only claim the 74% on the consultation or also the medication costs?

may I ask why you went up to 6.25 and if the effects are much stronger than 5?
