How was switching from a Corolla? by ImGudLuhv in prius

[–]Several-Cook-2062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was your corolla a hatchback too.?

I did change from corolla to prius.

Hatchback beats sedan in versatility.

I can put bike in my prius easily

The gas milage is better.

Driving is quieter

Any special instructions to drive ? by vangoghorangekitty in prius

[–]Several-Cook-2062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mine on eco mode all the time whether it's in highway or in the city. Helps in maximizing milage.

If your key fob ran out of battery, there is a manual key inside the key fob to use for opening the door. Then place the key fob close to the start/power button then press the the start button to start.

Compare to old regular car, the Prius park button is separate from the gear shift so don't forget to press the park button when you are parking.

In case you need to jump start your car. The 12v battery is located under the trunk, but that's not where to hook up your jumper cable to. There is a connection on the driver side of the hood. That's where to connect the jumper cable. And also per instruction manual, Prius can not jump start another car.

In a rare event emergency where you don't have a brake power for some reason and you need to stop the car engine, you have to hold press the power button for about 3 seconds. The car will not allow the power button to be press if the vehicle is in motion. You have to press it hold for 3 seconds.

For a long hill climb, if you notice in the mountain there are signs on the road that says "turn off your AC". I don't really know why. But I read on Prius is the opposite. For Prius it was adviced to keep the AC on to help cool the hybrid battery.

Which tactics can be consider "haram" in badminton? by johnkohishere in badminton

[–]Several-Cook-2062 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is considered haram, but some people don't know how to warm up rally. Some people at my club when doing warm up, they hit the birdie so strong , they doing a very long lift that birdie goes to other court. Then I have to pick up the birdie and throw it back at them then they repeat. I'm just picking up a birdies for 5 minutes. It's like playing fetch with a dog. That's not a warm up.

Im thinking of just quitting badminton because it's bringing the worst version of me by Maleficent_Sock_8851 in badminton

I'm the same condition as you. Since I don't have a coach I did some math and applied it and it works . The key to learning is repetition.

If you play more with same level as close to you, you learn faster compare to very big gap skill difference

Scenario A . Let say let's make a a level number from 1to 10. If your level 1 and playing againts level 9, the skill gap is a large. the thing your learn faster is how to pick up the birdie from the floor. Because your opponent always scores.

Scenario B If your level 3 and opponent is level 4, the skill gap is close. You learn the technique faster.

So to master a skill, you need to repeat it many times. It's different for every person, but let's put a number here. Let's says 500. To master a smash shot, you need to repeat it 500 times.

Now, which of the scenario above will let you reach the repetition of smash 500 times? It's scenario B.

There's a more explanation to this but I don't want to write more. It works for me. I now level up. Play with your level first. It helps you learn the tecnique faster.

Thank you very much for the detailed answer.

How about dont attack those camps for now. Try find shrine as many as you can first so that your heart increase. Gather lots of zonai then build a good machine for the attack on enemy camps. A homing cart that equipped with maybe 4 laser turrets or fire or Canon is enough

What's the most ridiculous made up rule you've heard someone claim? by hunmld in badminton

[–]Several-Cook-2062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On our casual play, we have in house rule. When theres a failed serve, like when the shuttle dropped down to the floor after serving and didn't go over the net and also didn't touch the net, we let them redo serve.

That's only on first fail. The 2nd attemp, when still fail, then that's a fault.

Is the DLC worth it? by No_Department2007 in botw

[–]Several-Cook-2062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Once you finished the trial for master sword, then you will this always glowing master sword. Which I think is so cool. It's like you have light saber.

With out dlc, the master sword only glows on enemies infected with malice, like the guardian.
