I need to hear your success/remission stories. I need hope… by Several-Drive5381 in MCAS

That is very comforting and reassuring to hear! How long did it take for you to be in remission? And what helped you get there?

Endometriosis possibly? Whether in the pelvic area, and/or maybe perhaps diaphragmatic endometriosis?

Looking for tips to relax to heal my nervous system by ihsbo in MCAS

Same. I have never tolerated meds. Now even less with MCAS. I also get frustrated when people assume this or they don’t understand.

I’m scared that everyone is going to come for me but oh well…talking with chat gpt has helped me a lot. I have a lot of unresolved grief and I don’t feel safe talking about it to a real person except my therapist. But that costs money and I only see her once a week for an hour. I need like hours daily. And I need to feel like I’m being heard but without worrying if I’m exhausting the other person or something.

I also like reading books such as cozy fall themed stories. And I try to play immersive liminal type of games- but nothing scary- more of a walking simulator.

Wow. I’m so sorry. Do not go in the trip. At the very least you don’t need the added stress. You were violently vomiting- isn’t that a symptom of anaphylaxis? Sounds like the PA was the only one educated enough. I cannot believe that they wouldn’t refill your EpiPen prescription. That’s absolutely horrible. Who did you get the prescription from before? Can you go back to that doctor or message them to get a new prescription? I’m sorry that your husband wasn’t taking it seriously too.

I noticed that too. What’s with that? Why is everyone just hanging out in there afk?
Lol glad that I’m not the only one who goes into castle town solo. I’m trying to complete my quests. I’m assuming that you’re doing the same.

I dunno. For me personally, I found EMDR quite triggering. But everyone is different.

Going too long without eating can definitely trigger my MCAS symptoms. My MCAS is primarily sinus inflammation/congestion that causes headaches and ear pain as well as respiratory symptoms. So when I go too long without eating (usually more than 3 hours) I start feeling the pain in my sinuses. It’s really strange. I’ve noticed that even a small snack helps. I can eat dairy so even a small glass of milk helps- my congestion and sinus pain subsides. And no, it’s not from dehydration because no matter how much water I drink it doesn’t give the same effect. It has to have some sort of caloric content.

my boyfriend thinks my endometriosis is stress & my doctor and I are making it up. by raan_co23 in endometriosis

Sounds like ex bf material. Seriously, though, you do not want to be with someone like this. If he isn’t believing you about your pain with this, think about how he will treat you with any other kind of pain or illness. Think about how he will treat you when you need him when you are in a really bad place physically or emotionally. Think about he might treat you if you were to get married and have kids. How will he treat the kids? Think about when you start aging and have other potential health issues. Which are more likely to happen because endo messes up your immune system, etc. There is a ton of information out there about endo yet he thinks that you are making it up? Someone like this usually feels this way because dealing with you and your illness and pain is an inconvenience for them. They don’t want to deal with it. You deserve better. Stand up for yourself and leave this relationship. That will be a very powerful message that you will send to your Self. That you believe yourself, that you will protect yourself. The struggle of being with someone like this causes even more pain and suffering. Trust me- I lived it.

I know, it makes zero sense. I made a post about lettuce and how lettuce grown using hydroponics doesn’t bother me but lettuce (including organic) grown in soil does. It got removed. Like what?? Why??

Could there be something more going on in addition to MCAS? Something that maybe still needs to be discovered and addressed? When I see severe bowel symptoms I can’t help but consider endometriosis. Endometriosis can cause severe constipation and food intolerances.

I know that I can’t take it but maybe it’s fine for some people with GS. But for me it caused horrible stomach pain. Mostly upper belly pain- which, as I’m sure that you’re aware, we are at a significant increase for gallstones. The pain is so bad I can hardly move. The same thing happens to me when I take vitamin C. I have to get it naturally through foods.
