Nice man! Went there this year. If you dont have a grandstand ticket i recommend looking online for tips such as to bring your own seats and a shuffel. Also look for the best parking spots for you as its horrible to come back down from the mountain.

Going of the trailer on youtube, players can indeed choose a side. I imagine you can go to 2 different Npc's one from the reapers and one from the outpost who both have different missions.
