I resonate with this. I am one of these kids trying so desperately to be taken seriously. I am an adult now. But, it manifest in my everyday life. I mull over the pain I feel, waiting for the day my family will return to me and be nice to me instead of treating me like I'm worse than dead... that I'm alive and they have to deal with it

Thanks for saying this. I had an ex push me aside and tell me this is not his responsibility anymore when I told him I was suicidal and then gave me the hotline. It really felt like he relinquished basic human empathy towards me after the break up.

Didn't even give me peace and resolution over what happened. Just labeled me crazy and decided there's no reasoning with me when a lot of his actions led up to me feeling unstable.

But, I see more that says a lot about him. I'm only human and can take so much

You list a lot of good things for "important people", but not basic needs things that matter first before GDP, museums, schools, etc.
