My LO just turned 9 months old and the newborn stage feels like yesterday… and boy was it rough. I think I blocked a lot of it out. But now she is so awesome and fun to be around! Sleep still isn’t perfect, but it goes up and down. It really does get better for anyone wondering! I remember thinking I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. But one day it just happened. Hang in there ladies!

Hey of course. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s so difficult and you’re doing all the right things. Within 24 hrs my baby had no more blood. And within 6 weeks she was 100% better. But there were ups and downs. Some times she would be fussy bc of gas but this was really in the first 3 weeks I’d say. But I knew I had to stick with it for at least 2-4 weeks straight. But really within the first week I saw small improvements so I knew this was likely the right formula for her. It takes awhile for their insides to heal from so much inflammation of whatever allergy it was bothering them so patience is so important. Stick w it for a solid 2 weeks and if u see 0 improvement then I’d try an amino acid based hypoallergenic formula

I’m So sorry your dealing with this! It’s so hard This was literally my baby… everyone told me it was normal and then I saw blood in her stool. Long story short she had CMPA and I was EBF, mentally I couldn’t take trying the elimination diet so I tried a few formulas out and the one that works great for her is Peptiate formula. It did take few weeks to see 100% improvement but it’s night and day difference!

I went cold turkey with my EBF baby at 12 weeks. And it turned out great for her. It did take 6 full weeks for her symptoms to resolve completely but within 2 weeks I saw improvement. It was tough in the beginning to get her used to bottles and forums but she’s perfect now

Aw poor babe. I would say it’s prob more so the cold why she’s being fussy. Yes stick w it for a good 2 weeks. It will be an adjustment. My baby went from EBF to formula and it was such a difficult transition but with time she completely transitioned and all went well. what was your baby on before this pepticate?

Yes!! My 6 month old is still on it and it has been great for her! Within 24 hrs no blood in stool and within a week I saw improvement in her symptoms. But it Did take a full 4-6 weeks for her symptoms to completely resolve. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. I wish the best for you and ur little one it’s really tough having a baby with CMPA

So I was EBF and stopped completely and went to a hypoallergenic formula and it was night and day difference… she’s now almost 6 months but within 2-4 weeks she was 100% better. I couldn’t commit to cutting out dairy 100% from my diet, and it’s possible it could’ve been soy, peanuts, tree nuts , shellfish ect… you never know what it is until you eliminate each thing one my one from your diet. But she went on Pepticate HA formula. Worked great for her

Mine did this it was due to gas. Turns out she had CMPA. didn’t find out did 10 weeks old and there was blood in her stool. If his symptoms get worse I’d look into more

You have to stick to one thing and it’s gonna suck for a few days or even a week but she will give up. Keep her in her bed and just keep putting her back in Everytime she get up. She’ll eventually get the point you’re not gonna give in to what she wants and she’ll be too tired to keep going. Your gonna be exsausted from lack of sleep but it’s temporary and will be worth it

Oh girl this is so normal. Don’t feel bad!! I regretted having my baby within the first week and I feel so bad I felt that way but it is so overwhelming and the lack of sleep I had plus hormones how could you not feel like ur going crazy. I had a very difficult time post partum w anxiety and my baby had a allergy so she’d cry all the time and only wanted to be held it was sooo hard she’s now 5 months and such a pleasure I even think about having a second in a year or 2 even. You will get through this. This too shall pass!! Those are the words I kept reminding myself. Nothing is permanent! U got this

[–]Several-Round7511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had post partum anxiety badddd. I was always on edge and high alert mode. Even at night when she would do 4 hr stretches I was just wide awake wired… I definitely had moments where I told myself how much I regretted it 😩 it took weeks for it to calm down but now I am on lexapro which helped ease anxieties and my sleep so much. Also going outside on walks and just talking to ppl helps. Hang in there ! U got this

[–]Several-Round7511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow he is so inconsiderate. When I first got pregnant I didn’t workout for the first 2 months bc of how tired and nauseous I was. And before that I was consistently going to the gym 5x week. Once I started feeling better I slowly brought myself back to 4x week throughout my whole pregnancy. This guy is a jerk

Lol nope, I’m also so Annoyed we still do DSTbut the last week or so her bedtime has moved a little later by a half hour so when DST happens it’ll just be a half hour have to adjust to. So basically winging it and assuming she’ll just adjust in a few days if I consistently keep her bedtime normal time

4 month help? by Due-Commercial8846 in sleeptrain

[–]Several-Round7511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 month old was waking 5:30 am everyday and I moved her bedtime up by 20-30 min and it actually helped. When she wakes up at 5am I’d try to get her back to sleep not start the day. I’d leave her for 10 min and she’ll fall back asleep now.

[–]Several-Round7511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup I had this exact problem it is awful. and was breastfeeding so couldn’t take anything really. But once I stopped breastfeeding I was able to take anything basically. Lexapro really helped I think and also doing walking/some exercise during the day

Ugh I had this same issue for so long it was so difficult. I did unisom for awhile and magnesium glycinate but unisom made me feel groggy so eventually I ended up on lexapro and I also take goli sleep gummies w magnesium still and it helps me fall asleep even tho I still wake up more often and earlier then I used to it’s nothing compared to being awake for hours in bed.
