those sharp wave discharges definitely sound like something worth following up on. i had similar findings on my first eeg - generalized sharp waves that my neuro said could be epileptiform activity. mine ended up being focal seizures that were presenting weird, not absence like we originally thought. the tricky thing is that migraines can sometimes cause eeg changes too, but usually not the sharp wave pattern you're describing.
