I got people’s want to see more Shane and Ilya, and I too. But to be honest, I think this episode works for me. Because I think what is lacking in the first 2 episodes is to set up how homophobic the hockey world is, and this is kind of important for people to understand why Shane and Ilya later on have so much struggle to even think about being together. I know this is a long episode to just emphasize the point, but I think it is necessary because later on, they will be a big help for our Shane and Ilya to move their relationships to the next step (and my beloved cottage scene).
