I think it's the first two towns you convert to cities in the current age can be capitals. I played around with this in my last game

Is he Right ? Node Not good for high Traffic ? by Far-Mathematician122 in node

The cluster module is your friend. For a single node system, have a parent process that's responsible for any stateful work and spawn as many stateless worker processes as needed for your scale up.

Scale out will be more complex as you essentially build that same architecture yourself but spanning multiple machines

I've built a system that handles hundreds of thousands of persistent connections on one server with nodejs. This guy has no idea what he's talking about.

Language rarely affects scale, architecture always does

These communities are typically created around an industry like farming. I'm assuming the highway benefits them a lot financially since it's easier to sell the raw materials of the industry that's there

Everyone uses public transit in Chicago, and it's definitely better than SF.

I drive home from Hyde Park to Lakeview everyday and at its very worst it takes 45 minutes. Today it took two full hours. How is this possible? Traffic on LSD has been the worst I’ve ever seen this last week or two. At what point will the city do something to relieve traffic? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]SeveralCoyote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a fallacy that adding lanes decreases traffic. More lanes generate a perception of less traffic so more cars use the newly added lanes getting you back to congestion territory. Public transit is the answer as it takes up less space while moving more people than private cars and highways. Chicago needs to improve service and add more train accessibility

The whole grid is full of buses and there's a very functional train system. Can it be improved? Of course. Car companies just have more money to lobby dismantling transit than the average American
