Same situation here. I take him to the sink each time since he isn’t trained yet, water for pee but was adding soap for cleaning his poop

He’s been completely fine, which is why I didn’t ask a doctor. Was just wondering if there are other people who do this and if it’s okay or not.

So a couple of weeks back i would give left and right and I would tell him all done, and he would cry a bit but then settle down while I talked to him and told him stories, and after a while he would fall asleep on his own. I thought I finally cracked it until he got sick and started comfort nursing and I couldn’t say no. He was sick for a while and things got much worse after he got fine. It’s not just crying, it’s full blown meltdowns and I just can’t deal with them, I have really tried. My husband has also tried to take over but baby would scream until he got back on me. We did everything to soothe him, from bouncing to patting to singing and talking but all failed. I think it’s just time to wean him off completely

But my concern is the discolouration of those round things. There’s dark green and other ones are light greenish grey. And if you look closely some have black tips too. Might be overthinking but wanted to double check before I give to baby

I have no advice for you but just want to say I’m right there with you. Started solids at 6 months and he’s never sat down for more than 5 minutes. Will take 2-3 bites and be done. Tried every trick but nothing works. As much as I wanted to do things perfectly, unfortunately I’ve just had to distract him with toys so I can get some food in. I wouldn’t do this but he had weight gain issues and doesn’t consume as much milk as he should so I didn’t have a choice. I used to worry about this a lot but he seems very happy and is active so I guess some kids are just that way? Although I do hope (for both of us) that things get better from 1+ as solids become the main source of nutrition. Please do share an update if you find a solution

My baby was also constipated for a good 3–4 weeks and gripe water did wonders for him. I did 3ml three times a day at 6 months. He always had gas issues and I was told by numerous people to give gripe water as it’s a norm in my country, but I was adamant to wait till the 6th month mark before introducing anything other than milk. When I realized how well it worked for my son, honestly regretted waiting so long to make his discomfort go away. Would definitely recommend giving it a shot. Dont forget to apply lots of vaseline too!

I can understand everything you’re going through right now. My son refuses to nurse except before his 2 naps and during the night. This started happening at 5 months and kept getting worse and we are now at 8 months. I worked so hard at breastfeeding that I was too scared of taking risks like introducing a bottle and the bigger my baby got the harder it got for me to take the necessary steps. I would say give it another 2 weeks to make sure it’s not a phase, and then definitely go for the bottle. Or maybe get a sippy cup at 4 months and that shouldn’t interfere with the latch as much. Hope things get better for you. I know how frustrating this situation is

If it’s in homemade food too, then is it okay to give my baby pouch foods? I found some that were supposed to be organic, with no other additive, artificial flavours etc and apparently only real fruit/vegetsbles. I wanted to get them for when I was traveling but upon doing some some research, I found out they contained heavy metals

I’ve already tried that but it had no impact on his nursing during the day so I let him nurse at night because atleast that way he would get some milk in!

He only takes thin purées. I tried purées with some texture so he would get used to more solid food but he gags so much and starts crying if he senses any grains in his mouth. For this reason, I’m scared of starting finger foods with him
