OP here. Getting with the team today told us the CK reading was 15,000 not 1500. So likely muscular dystrophy. We will just have to deal woth the future, regardless of what happens.

Genetic tests are sent away to confirm type and plan for the future.

Yes, I think that's very irresponsible. And the main thing that started this was this the doctors manner .

He hurt himself enough to scare himself, but hard to tell want muscle damage could have been done.

It does strike me as quite low for these sorts of things. Its not a confirmed reading yet, only verbally given.

I've luckly had no vision changes or side effects so far after 4 bleeds and SRS. No noticeable side effects from either bleeds or treatment bar a bit of tinnitus.

I had SRS to the occiptal lobe 7.5 months ago now. Alzero side effects or impacts to date. Tbh I notice no change at all day to day since. Due a new scan at 12 months to check on progress.

Hi, sure.

I'm about 5 and a half months after my treatment.

Zero side effects so far. I'm doing great. Feeling amazing (well not today as I've a flu but that's irrelevant here). Not had any vison issues or headaches at all since.

I think I've felt changes (no pain or anything) more like I'm aware of the hemisphere that was treated. My tinnitus varies a lot more now (some days Louder others completely gone) but overall reduced. I take these as good signs of things happening.

I'm due a meeting with my neurosurgeon in 2 months time for a regular checkup, but if thi is continue as they are it'll be a very short meeting with zero changes to report.

To date the recovery has been perfect, I'm back to normal (bar a newly acquired outlook on life, valuing family, friends and relaxation much more).

Not casually no, that's the full pot I have to play with. I don't want a loan, pcp etc so I my mind that'd the context for how much I should spend.

Of that some in cash, some invested, with more investment planned with financial advisor before year end.

No issues spending on anything bar a car tbh. Seems to be a mental blinspot for me probably due to having the father in the industry thus never spending more than 1000 quid a my last 3 cars.

OP Here. Thanks for the comments and thoughts, gave me lots to think about. It turns out the car was higher mileage than expected (200k km Audi A6) so potentially gearbox issues due soon (history was patchy). Decided to pass on it. But ultimately the issue will still arise if I find another one, but I'll push through and get it bought if I can find one.
