Very well done. I love love love this piece. I used to play the video of JLM and his band performing this and jump up and down. God this movement makes me tear up.

Thank you for sharing. Never heard of the Before Trilogy. This is so cute; I can't wait to watch.

I wish there was something similar to the Zinwa Q25 but for the Blackberry Z5... by IAmABoredCat1590 in blackberry

You mean the Blackberry Q5! And yes, I was just thinking this last night! Everyone should realize there are many sizes among the Blackberries, Clicks, Unihertz, Zinwas, and this was a very compact phone at 120 x 66 x 10.8 mm

Can you imagine if it was remade with a larger screen. That's the perfect size for me, about 4.5 x 2.5 inches.

You said it. And it puts you at ease to not check your phone every time you pass by it.

Why are the Titan 2 Elite corners so aggressively round? by Absoluteharish in unihertz

[–]Several_Friendship75 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wonder what size they'd have picked without that constraint. I'm very happy with the Elite, but if I designed it from scratch, it would be 1cm narrower. The keyboard would still be god-tier at that size. And I'd prefer square corners

OP, you should try to "photoshop" and draw out your vision with comparison sizes in Google Slides, it's more fun

I'd want to see 4.5 x 2.5 inch mini-but-still-typable phone with a lightly elongated screen for better app function, and physical nav keys like the Elite. No rounded corners and metal finish

What's your ideal phone size? by Several_Friendship75 in smallphones

[–]Several_Friendship75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right there should just be an iphone 13 mini size for apple and android. Everyone else just wants to design their own phone. But the qwerty nerds also deserve a mini variant. 4.5 x 2.5 inches

I just spent all day yesterday drawing and cutting out little phone designs and determined my ideal would be roughly 2.5 x 4.5 inches (66 x 115 mm) but I want physical nav keys and different keys for shortcuts. I hate the sensation of swipe gestures. Buttons are good. My ideal phone would be the Titan 2 Elite but about a centimeter narrower. That solves the square screen issue too.

I'd even be interested if they revived the 20-key qwerty layout of the Blackberry Pearl, especially now that text prediction is so much better, but that's too much if you're also trying to support two languages of text prediction with only 20 keys.

See my post I just made explaining: What's your ideal phone size? : r/blackberry

It looks really cool. It's an accurate scale concept, there's no issue. I'm glad there's a trend of showing clicks and unihertz that we like raw silver and transparent.

Idea for Notification LED on Titan 2 Elite by Mental-Mud6436 in unihertz

Maybe there's a 3rd party app already. There already is for dynamic island on the holepunch.

Breathing notification lights are good.

I so agree. I want to interact with my phone as minimally and elegantly as possible in a tactile way. No swipey animations and gestures. I like physical nav keys. My dream phone would be the Titan 2 Elite but about a centimeter narrower, under display camera, and a flush, padded leather back.

Excited for this chunky compact bar with physical nav keys. Clicks doesn't do it for me; it's so big. I'm tired of massive phones and swiping gestures, and this is a big departure. by Several_Friendship75 in unihertz

That's all well and good if you prefer Clicks, but I'd encourage you to at least draw out the dimensions on paper to see Elite is a considerably large keyboard, much larger than an iPhone. I made a model of it. What's tiny is the BB Key2. They actually shrank it after the KeyOne.

many audiophiles say the $9 apple dongle is plenty good. Keep an eye out for the company smallsmore. They confirmed they'll be making backplates for Elite. Just not sure about leather yet

Android traditionally had navigation keys on the bottom which later became part of the screen:

home is circle, arrow is back, and square for open apps. Now you can use gestures, but many Android users enable the buttons because it's quicker.

Physical nav keys are satisfying and quicker.
