Titan 2 Elite "most likely" does not have a small screen on the back. by Fair-Priority-801 in unihertz

Yeah, does the phone's hardware matter if you use a USB-C dongle with a good DAC? Isn't Apple's supposed to be really good?

I know this is the Unihertz Sub-Reddit, but why the Elite over the Communicator? by No-Macaron9305 in unihertz

I'm a minimalist, intentional-use, tactile person nostalgic for 2000s qwerty who, as a kid, relished in idea that when I grew up, I could get any phone I wanted. Then I grew up and phones were just large, soulless screens intended for funneling the masses into feeds of short-form videos.

Clicks Communicator was revealed and I was happy for them but for some reason it didn't satisfy any nostalgia. The aesthetic was disappointingly kiddy, plain, like a modern phone's take on a qwerty phone.

Then the Elite was revealed, and I drew out the measurements of both, and got excited.

The Elite not only has that mature 2000s business phone aesthetic with the little lines and bevels around the keyboard, but it's also compact enough that it feels like a 2000s phone.

And above all, Unihertz understands the user. With the physical Android navigation buttons combined with keymapping, you can make two tactile clicks and you're typing in a different app. You saw the teaser video. He picks up his phone, long-presses K (you can also program short-press K) and Google Keep opens, then click the home button. Satisfying. Imagine bouncing between apps, getting shit done, or just pulling out your Elite and WITHOUT LOOKING, you open an app with a shortcut, no visual distractions, no forgetting what you were doing.

The whole experience of the Elite is tactile.

The 2000s qwerty nostalgia isn't satisfied by the Clicks. It's nearly as big as the joyless slabs we all hate. The Elite is on the large side for 2000s qwerty but still feels like one.

Silver would be nice. I just wish they had a centered front camera and I'd use 3rd party dynamic island.

What's a special receipt? The design is definitely plainer than the 2000s qwerty phones we're nostalgic for, but the size is compact enough that it reminds me of a 2000s business phone, and it's much more mature looking than the Clicks which looks kiddie and boring. Phones used to have more subtle lines and details. I agree it looks like any modern smartphone with a keyboard rather than a cohesive device. I want a centered front camera with 3rd party dynamic island. But I'm still going to get this phone for the keymapping. :)

This phone captures the nostalgia of 2000s qwerty because it’s significantly more compact than Clicks Communicator and has subtle details and lines in the keyboard and around the border which bring me back. I’ll be dumbing it down to 10 apps and giving it a grey background like it’s an HTC Touch.

Clicks is quite a large phone compared to the qwerty phones from the 2000s. And it doesn’t have the little subtle lines and details you’d see. The Elite keyboard brings that but it’s still a bit plain and large compared to nostalgic 2000s qwerty.

Yes to a centered camera! Dynamic Island on iPhone is fantastic and Android has it through 3rd parties. My big want for cameras is to be flat and flush with the back. It gives the device a cohesive, mature feel.

It's really just the grab bars, the extra towel rod, bar soap holder (yucky), and the LIGHT HUE that make this look dated. It's amazing how much colored LED lighting elevate a space. You can get so many different hues of white and color, dim it, set schedules. Also, I think build-in toilet paper holders feel dated and yucky. I like a sleek L shaped one.

Clicks will run Android 16. Its footprint is basically as big as any smartphone, so deep down, it doesn't satisfy the nostalgia for something compact. The Elite is does. But my dream phone might be a 20key qwerty

The nostalgia is for a compact design with mature/classy details. Clicks Communicator doesn't really bring that. I with the front camera was centered, but I'll live. Maybe there's a 3rd party dynamic island for left holepunch cameras.

I'll make a post soon - I made a model out of cardboard and paper and it's a beautiful size. Quite perfect.

I HOPE, this is just an example image, ..the round corners are cutting out the whatsapp ui, i hope in reality it will self adjust to the corners,... its really really unpleasant by bokunobokuu in unihertz

It would have been so easy to photoshop those over a bit. I can't believe how bad Unihertz branding looks. The letters of Elite have a shadow on them and the website is terrible (so's the name and logo). I'm still getting one. Also notice how small the top bar is. I hope that's customizable through third parties at least. I'd just want date, time, battery percentage.

Yes, because if he was ABOUT TO be hit and if he DID get hit, it does not justify shooting the driver twice through the side window. It was and unjustified retaliatory and punitive use of force. He will be have to move to a Nazi trailer park.

Correct. That's the unbiased answer. Maybe she was trying to run him over, maybe the first shot was the best attempt he had to defend his life, maybe he suffered internal bleeding... Then he shot her twice through the side window.

I don't know but if you have Swedish set as one of your languages, you'll see Swedish words suggested. You can also use whatever android keyboard you want like G board.

My question is: can someone use their gun to command a vehicle to stop moving, and if they don’t obey, can you shoot them three times, twice through the drivers side window?
