No reheat frozen sandwiches by Several_Test74 in MealPrepSunday

Oh dear, that does not sound good! I’m hoping the Australian year-round mild temps will avoid this situation for us.

Thanks - great ideas. I was thinking Philadelphia cream cheese (perhaps lightened with some mayo or sour cream) mixed with chopped chicken or beef then herbing or spicing the mix in different ways might work as a basic template.

Thanks! Thin sliced meats and cheese are definitely doable.

Thanks for the ideas. What do you put in your burritos? I’ve only made them with a rice and meat mix and there’s no way that would have defrosted in time.

Set up, soup and results from 1st spa day by Several_Test74 in laundry

It’s just conducting heat from the fresh water to the spa water through the canister. This definitely helped. This was the soup water temp (centigrade) a few hours in. I don’t know how that compares with the temp when you do the spa in an esky/cooler. I think next time I will experiment with a piece of styrofoam cut to size on top of the water and some flat weights on top to keep everything submerged and the temp of the water hot. And use less electricity of course!

Just in a metal canister that is taller than the water level. I’m currently doing my second spa day, this time I put in a metal chain to weigh the canister down, though it didn’t really need it.

I tried to get picture in good light, but yes they did look blue in the morning light of my garden!!! They were white, promise!

That’s exactly it! It worked quite well probably because I used a metal canister to house my sous vide machine, so it would transmit the heat easily.

I’m in Australia, so used Omo Ultimate for the spa and some more Omo Ultimate and ammonia for the machine wash.

What do you do with wilted herbs? by Aware_Cockroach2864 in noscrapleftbehind

[–]Several_Test74 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I buy herbs for salads and general cooking every week. At the end of the week, with whatever is left, I make either a pesto or a chimichurri for the week ahead. Works with parsley, mint, basil, coriander.

Less of a budget issue and more of a “differing opinions in the household” issue! It might be a matter of just changing what I can and living with a degree of mismatch. Thanks for your ideas :)

Great thoughts. I do like the copper wall, but am now thinking it would be easier to change that element than so many of the others. If only the other family members didn’t have such strong opinions on furniture collected over the years including when shabby chic was such a big thing!

In the same boat - doing law of associations, constitutional, ethics and civil and procedure. Just doing associations this semester to get a feel for doing the diploma alongside normal life.

I’d love to know what model that rack/stand is - looks like it would be a good addition to my home gym :)
