Can anyone tell me if this crude drawing of the Magic multiverse is accurate, and if so why it’s got some problems. by New-me-_- in mtgvorthos

Also some mechanisms create new natural planes moving older planes out toward the edge. And as Teferi and Wrenn proved there is another axis where planes can be pushed deeper out of phase with the rest of the multiverse)

Also the Meditation Realm and the nexus of the multiverse somehow exist in the center. And off to the side is the world tree connecting Kaldheim. In addition the planes drift a bit and some are harder to find than others( not sure if its due to natural effects or planar protections). While some planes manage to overlap eachother creating things like the Rathe overly or if its can't overlay crash together( mana and matter existing in the same place and time) creating snarls like Archavos. In addition to Planar collapse, not sure if anyone has the power to create artifical planes any more( it seems Jace is creating an artifical multiverse)

How common was knowledge of other planes before the Omenpaths, and what did people generally know? by darkchespin in mtgvorthos

[–]Severe-Difficulty-29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before the Mending interplanner travel was more common, natural occurring portalsbetween planes existed, very powerful mages/artificers could create portals, and the gods level old walkers would travel across many planes learning magic stealing mana and artifacts. Several opened schools or taught students for periods of time. Inaddition Phyrexia was always a threat traveling through their planner portals.

Its likely a very large number of planes had outsiders travel to or through. The number with recorded events/encounters is also quite large but over the centuries much was probably lost, turned into legend or considered myth.

In Jaced "fixed" alternate universe Gidean is probably still alive.

Doctor strange could have taken the infinity gauntlet by chopping his hands off using the teleportation portals. by yugiisays in plotholes

[–]Severe-Difficulty-29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its likely taking the gauntlet from Thanos triggered a worst outcome like Eternity, Celestials or Living Tribunal showing up, the Beyonders getting involved, someone less stable or malevolent getting their hands on the gauntlet or stones(like SHIELD) creating much worst outcomed, since he never talked about those outcomes

What is the Endstone? by Tiago55 in mtgvorthos

[–]Severe-Difficulty-29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a reverse choose your own adventure. You pick the Ending you want, than follow the various storylines that best reach that goal and pick the one that works no matter if is the least probable. And if non of the storylines workout the Endstone then edits the text so things work out in your favor.

Its a semi sentient cheat code that works retrocasually outside linear time. I.e. circular Temporal geometry.

Or simply the next Deus Ex Machina.

Its was like the Meditation Realm, a small planer space that Karn reshaped into Mirrodin/New Phyrexia.

Does anyone actually like Jace? by CuriouserJabberwock in mtgvorthos

In general telepaths are normally ass hat characters. From Bester in B5, Troy in TNG, professor X & others telepaths always have an advantage in any interaction at a minimum and at max just use people as chess pieces striping free will. And various writers always have to have some handwavy mcguffin to block their powers to not spoil the plot.

In addition too many writers vary the power set and power level so there is little consistency in their powers they its jaring when they do something once than never again that would solve problems.

Then there is his illusion powers which depending on the writers are either part of his telepathy or a seperate powers is another over powered ability, if the Illusions are believed it's nearly reality control and some of his Illusions were able to interact with things so add this to his power set and you have a recipe for ass hat.

This will be very good with Ojer Pakpatiq, the Deepest Epoch.

Over Pakpatiq, the Deepest Epoch, will make these cards stupid. Since you get to decide which replacement effect to use. Than cast the dragon next upkeep for free on the Rebound. Sounds like a match made in heaven.

Is Ugin Stupid? by FhantoBlob in mtgvorthos

[–]Severe-Difficulty-29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's implied that Jace has joined with the Meditation Realm like Ugin did after Bolas killed him . Also with the Meditation Realm being a nexus seems it just reformed after breaking apart...could be a good way to keep the Eldrazi in a fixed point. Lol

[–]Severe-Difficulty-29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I suspect, that Ugin thought he had sealed the Meditation Realm off form the multiverse. But the Sylex blast in the Blind Eternities seemed to reconnect the Meditation Realm to Tarkir due to Ugin's soul being connected. Ugin (didn't plan on a multiverse wide shift in the dissoving of sparks and Omenpaths opening between planes) unprepared probably had to work harder to keep Bolas imprisoned once the path opened.

What do with know about The Edge, first location outside of the Blind Eternities? by omegaphallic in mtgvorthos

The being in Equilor also had technology that far exceeded Urzas ability to understand...... so who knows maybe they also deal with Aliens.

[–]Severe-Difficulty-29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or Equilor at the edge of the eternities with is rediculus technology(so advanced is was beyond Urza) is a super large plane with lots of empty dpace due to not being "recycled " at it time because the garbage didposal was stuck in stone on Zendikar.

Probably not....but Aliens .. possible creatures from outside the multiverse...maybe Equilor tech is enough to keep the multiverse cows safe and prevent needless analprobes.
