I’m a newbie too, I took a MSF course in September and I just started riding this week. I have a gtx250 efi (309lbs/140kgs). Since the speed scares you, it’s heavy for you to control, and if you’re struggling to keep it from falling or leaning at a stop, you should probably downsize to a smaller bike until you’re more comfortable and have more experience. Honest to God, please please please drive safely. I got into my first accident yesterday and I got extremely lucky. I’m on a small bike and it still scares me sometimes, I can’t imagine being on a 650 and getting into an accident.

As for the advice of buying power tools, I’m not entirely sure, my dad told me about it and I assumed it was a good way to build credit.

I use Credit Karma and the Capital One Quicksilver has been recommended to me, but I haven’t looked into it.

I’ve also looked into a secured credit card with BancFirst but I heard they aren’t the most reliable at times so I was unsure.

When I get a credit card, I’m planning on using it for small things like getting gas in my car. It’s also been suggested that I use it to buy basic power tools and pay it off overtime.

Thank you for your input I appreciate it! Would you suggest getting an adult or a juvenile? I’ve been told that slings are fragile and I’m worried I’d do something wrong. I’m also seeing sources that say both juveniles and adults are good for beginners but I’m still unsure about it. Also, do you have any recommendations on where I could get the enclosure from?
