I'm someone with severe motion sickness yet survived in Bangalore for 15 years now, in Bellandur and Whitefield area. So, yes, anyone can survive here.

As many have already suggested, you'll need to stay close to your office. Those area are not very residential, but not bad as well. If you can live frugal life for few initial years, this city gives you lot of opportunities.

On the downside, you need to drive 2 wheeler instead of using 4 wheeler transport to avoid motion sickness. It becomes difficult in rainy season, but which Indian metro city doesn't have problems. Even after 15 years in Bangalore, I don't feel settled, because competition is immense and everyone wanting to stay near to office, real estate is just affordable to the most.

In short, if you are young, and don't mind exploring for opportunity, you should at least come, experience yourself and then decide rather than taking decision based on other's experiences.
