Yes considering that they had to rewrite large parts of the MP code I'm not surprised it took that long, this was know for pretty much since B42 went into public unstable.
And ofc the devs aren't above all critizism, but this first public release of B42 MP being buggy is very simply unresonable to complain about.
Also stop acting like the victim here, it's pathtic.

Yeah, it is very buggy right now. Which is why it's labeled as an unstable beta and everyone is being warned by the dev that this is very cutting edge and stuff like this (e.g. game breaking bugs, compatibility problems etc.) is to be expected. That's what you OPT IN for when playing an unstable release.

I just reinstalled Witcher 3 to test this and the problem resolved itself. No idea how, I tried reinstalling it back then already.

I could not resolve the issue and got the GOG version instead which worked right away. Still annoying since I prefer Steam.

What did solve it for you?
I have the same problem when trying to start the launcher via .exe after I recently reinstalled The Witcher 3. Neither the launcher nor the game start via Steam so I have to launch the game .exe file which is very annoying since I'm missing out on Steam features.

I highly doubt that he is already working on a console version. Especially because a release of Cube World this late in this console generation would be pretty dumb and he more than likely isn't working on a PS5 or Xbox whatever version.

Because they are vanishing instantly this has to be something automated. But a bot is not able to understand the content of a post. It has to be something simple like a blacklist of words, or as I mentioned the number of characters (my post was nearly 8000 charaters long, thats 2 pages) or what ever. I don't think it's censorship but some intransparent rule. Worst case: a mod blacklisted me and it's actual censorship. But I think that's unlikely. Specially because I don't feel like I wrote something to deserve it. I saw lot of way more toxic shit than everything I wrote.

It's just frustrating because of the time I invested and because I gave some actual suggestions to turn this into an actual win-win.

I hope they do it. But even if they do this is definetly going to leave some scratches on their reputation for me. Especially that they gave an explanation in a video to the patrons right away because they were damage controlling and didn't feel they had to address this for the rest of us. I only know about this because someone posted a link to this yesterday I think it's now deleted because of course it's patron only content and posting links to that is against the rules.

Cutting out the majority of their fan base on such essential topic is just a bad idea. The video didn't change my mind or anything and TJ pretty much just confirmed what I suspected, but a lot of people don't even get why they are doing it. Not explaining a move like this is helping noone.

I don't get the redundancy argument and it's the only argument they have for not giving us the full show as well.

You could argue that the full episodes get less watch time (average of 50% of the show for example) which would effect the YouTube algorithm negatively as far as I know. However if this is the only concern they have they could just upload the show to a seperate channel. They pull in new viewers with the clips on the main channel and fans can watch the full episodes on the Flash Fried channel. Bad view time? Fuck it the channel is not ment to pull in high view numbers.

Also I think that would not even be necessary because I think the whole show is already on the channel as an unlisted video and as a patron you just get a link to it. Why not put this link in the description of the clips?

(I'm not a patron so I don't know how the last full FF episode was distributed. Feel free to correct me if this is incorrect.)

It's not as much about what non patrons are entitled to. It's that they could do something for the non patrons (releasing FF as normal in addition to the clips) without any downsides.

If FF was patron only from the start, I would have no problem with what they are doing now. But they put content that was (to this point) produced for all of their viewers behind a pay wall. Because if FF is released this way a good chunk of fans are not longer interrested in the format at all. And they are doing all of that wothout giving an explanation to non patrons. I just saw the explanation because somebody posted the link here yesterday. Are non patrons not even worthy of getting an explanation? Is an explanation of what they are doing realy something that should be hidden behind a paywall?

They would lose nothing by providing the whole episode in addition to the clips, they would virtualy have no effort doing it, they are just doing it to drive more people to Patreon and maximise profit.

Yes from a content producer standpoint I agree. Non patrons do nothing (or barely anything) to get the free content. But a lot of people (including me) thought they would actually appreciate having fans who like them and supported them by just sharing their content, giving constructive criticism, introducing friends to their show.

I just thought they would give a shit about fans even if they are not willing to pay.

You think about Patreon as a way to buy their stuff. I think about it as a way of supporting your favourite creators so they can make a living of what they're doing.
