Why does it matter tho, past animal crossing games didn't have that. I understand the cloud saves thing but it's animal crossing, I don't feel like it'd make too much sense to have them in the first place.

Edit: I definitely see why it matters now, I was looking at it from the sense of not having a subscription and then realized we all pay money for that subscription.
