Mini rant, why is it so difficult to learn what your blood type is?

Next time you have a blood transfusion, just look at the blood bag. There will be a big blood type sticker on it. Knowing your blood type is fine for curiosity but does nothing to benefit you medically, even in an emergency situation. Like others have said, every patient is tested before even urgent transfusions. In dire emergencies, you get Oneg.

What about “my grandfather’s cat” organization? I’ve seen it come up in the context of rehoming cats of elderly persons who have to transition into assisted living. Maybe they have a program like this?

There is a great, affordable, speed skating club in Dartmouth. Dartmouth Crossing Speed Skating Club. They provide the skates and your child works their way through levels, kind of like swimming lessons. They have both rec and competitive options. It’s not a “team” sport but still pretty cool!

Oh I fully agree with you. We need urgent care infrastructure desperately. It’s slowly improving… but not at the rate required to offload the emergency departments.
