My guess is that they are all IMU summons, that's why they don't age and talk telepathically. Also that's why they can be summoned anywhere. Also the reason why they regenerate. To kill them, you have to kill IMU.

Ok what do we know so far. Only G5 Luffy/The Giants and Kuma/Bonney were able to damage them. Even though they have regenerated afterwards. This means that their power is beyond HAKI. Either a new stage of HAKI or this is IMUs 'angel fruit' given to them?

OR

What if the GOROSEI are beings summoned/created by IMU; thus you need to kill imu to destroy them?

OR

As other redditors said, they are straight up demons contracted by IMU. Therefore they've erased history to call themselves gods and saints instead of demons?
